Hi everyone. I hope you are well.
In this thread I want to hold a debate. I seem to have reached an empass on this subject and would like to know what everyone in the guild thinks.
Really quick: Guild rules apply. If you're caught breaking them here, you WILL be punished. Only relevant points and counterpoints please. 'Because I said so' is not a valid anything. Arguments are allowed but let's keep it PG rated please.

Okay. Here's the topic:
Is the little boy in Dollet (the one you win back your rare cards from in the Card Queen sidequest) the Card Queen's son, little brother, not related at all, or something else entirely?
Please explain your answers and provide evidence wherever you may find it.

The little boy is the Card Queen's son.
I say this because:
-The Card Queen quest centers around you giving her certain cards so her Artist Father can paint new cards. -The only artist I see in Dollet (which is the only place she asks for the cards) is the Old Man in the Corner house. -There is a Little Boy in that same Corner house, and he ends up with the cards you give the Queen for her quest. -There is another quest associated with this boy. The Bone Quest, I like to call it. He paints bones on the canvas, after the Old Man finishes his painting. -Each time you come back to the house during the Bone quest, the Boy is getting in trouble for painting the bone. After you find the last bone (which is right next to the house), you see the Old Man come back to the house. When he goes in, he hollers at the Boy, who responds with: "But... But... Grandpa, you're always painting. I'm bored!"
So... My conclusion for this is, the Old Man/Artist in Dollet is her father who paints the cards, and since the little boy calls him "Grandpa" and he gets the cards given for inspiration, the boy is her son.
I've been told the Official Walkthrough says he is her brother. I can't check this myself, since I seem to have misplaced my copy. My opinion on that is the writers of the Official guide merely made an error. Errors are common in books. 3nodding
Side Note: Another opinion of mine... We don't actually know her age, so I believe the woman who acts in the film with Laguna (dream sequence) is the Card Queen. Both women look the same, and since that event occurred when Squall was around 5 or 6 (guessing here), and the little boy is at least 5 years younger than Squall, it is entirely possible.

I don't really have any evidence to supports this, but I always figured he was her nephew. His parents were either away, or had died and his artist grandpa was taking care of him.
The thought about that actress and the Card Queen being on in the same did cross my mind as well.

I would have to say brother. Only becasue I do have the book and in it it says "Note: you can recieve any of the five cards you are required to give the Card Queen from her little brother in Dollet..."
But, I am very curious about the "Bones quest" I would like to attempt it, but I have no idea what it is and I don't believe it's in the book.
