Help:

Feel free to create a race, but there are rules. All races no matter how powerful must have a weakness. For all races create a new post with a name and a paragraph or information.
Once the post is in copy the url and put it into the post (by editing it) so I can go back and add it to the listing later.

The Vyrkin

Vyrkin are men who can transform themselves into wolves at will (not true wolves, but similar, larger, swifter, more dangerous) while the prospect of transforming into such a beast at will seems awesome it comes at a price: Their sanity.

A Vyrkin can go their entire life completely sane or they can delve into insanity, the more a vyrkin uses his or her wolf form the harder it is for them to keep the beast from taking over until one day those who abuse their form too much are stuck in the shape of the beast, unable to change back, even if they were able to find their minds, which are then lost to the savage blood hungry beast within.

Vyrkin live in tribes, in times long ago these would be literal, forest dwelling tribes that live off the land and are one with the trees, but as time past things trained and the vyrkin adapted. Now living in communities, taking cul-de-sacs or entire tenement buildings as a tribes land the vyrkin still thrive within their community. The Shaman, or Wolf father, continues to lead each pack spiritually, while the wolf mother leads them in all other senses of the word. the females are often far more vicious and dangerous, not to mention that a wolf mother's intelligence is usually unrivalled. Usually there are three packs in a tribe but there are sometimes more.

The Vampire

The Vampire, more technically known as Vayash moru and more superstitiously known as or Night dwellers were all, at one point in time, men. Night dwellers are not, as the talk suggests, evil. Their reputation is merely bad because of some of their genetic traits. Each Vampire is an individual, Each one makes his or her mind up about everything. Whether to feed off of a living person is each Night Dweller's choice. Just as with humans, Vyrkin, and Manash Vayu, there are both sides of the ethical coin amongst the Vayash Moru. Some good, living to protect the millenia long truce between humanity and Vampire, while there are some who believe they are gods, unaccountable to anything.

Vampires have the unfortumate genetic trait that they need to consume blood to survive. Human or animal, it does not matter which, though many choose to believe that the Night dwellers only feed off the Sentient. While Vampires can feed from Vyrkin and Manash Vayu it only sustains them for a fifth of the same amount of time that the others do and often gives them strange sicknesses. most notably a potion of the Vyrkins mental anguish.
Another failure for them is their allergy to the rays of the sun. This allergy continues to confuse mortals into the belief that god hates them when this idea could not be further from the truth. The Vampires are Gods children, just as any man, put on the earth to protect mortals from the darkness.
Vampiress are ten times faster and stronger than any mortal man and they can live forever. however they are as easily killed as a regular man with their strength and speed.
Night Dwellers are made by a Vampire draining your blood and returning some of their own, or by a Necromancer drawing your soul back to your body within a few hours of your death. The Latter method makes for a prime vampire, the most powerful of the vampires, loyal to none.

When a vampire is turned they become fledges, they have a strong connection to the one who turned them, so powerful that if the master were to die the fledge would experience the death, every agonising second before dying.
The longer a fledge lives the looser the connection, after three of four hundred years the fledge is free from the subconscious hold, only endangered should the master actively connect with them.
After another three hundred years a fledge is free, a true vampire, accountable only to the head of their brood, and the blood council.

Manash Vayu

the mortal man is turned into a vampire by the blood drinking of a vampire and then the return of the blood of that same imortal. But it takes 48 hours for them to turn, during that time they are essencially alive, different, but not dead yet. Should a child be concieved within these 48 hours they will not be a human, though nor will they be a vampire, they will be mortal, but they will be more than that. Stronger, and faster than humans, but nowhere near the level of a vampire the Vayash Manu is born. Vayash Manu have long life spans, some living up to three, four hundred years.

They are able to stand the sunlight, however they burn far easier than normal men, not to the point of death, but they can be greatly pained if they dont cover up... or use sun cream

Vayash manu do not feed off of blood, though they are allergic to many vegitables, all green vegies cause violent sickness, near death.
Vayash Manu are violently sick from green vegitables. Vampires cannot consume food, only blood, so vayash manu should be on the meat eating side. I think non meat would be dangerous for them like how any non blood food is dangerous to vamps

Vayash Manu are weak in healing magic, they can use very basic healing magic, but it is not enough to allow them to use all magic, so not enough to do major healings, cuts and scrapes mostly
