~About fifty metres away from the northern gate lies a long, twisted labyrinth of rocks. The rocks look almost perfectly sculpted for a fort, however they look sinister and twisted. From a distance it looks like a giant scimitar sword. Few venture there, for it is said that this is the place where the bandits gather at sunrise and sunset. The few that have tried to cross this wayward area of land have not come back, other than the occasional arm or leg which is left to rot away from their deadly hovel.~

*Anna crept carefully through the rocks. The sun was just beginning to set and the theives should be here any minute. Most people would have only come here at all midday, let alone sunset. Anna didn't care. She needed the thieves. Besides, this couldn't be worse than the graveyard, could it?*

Anna paused and listened. She heard a rock move and with one quick movement she drew her dagger and spun around, holding the point at the bendit's neck.
"Show me where you meet," she said in a low voice, "or I will slit your throat." She moved the blade father into the man's skin.
"Alright!" he says. "I'll show you."
Anna lets him lead, her dagger against the back of his neck. At last they came to an area where the rocks surrounded a large open space. There were fires at places with men sitting aound them laughing, drinking beer, and sorting their day's earnings. Anna scowled at the drunken idiots. She dropped her dagger from the man's necks and told him to go. He had been sweating with nervousness and lost no time in running to one of the fires. Anna crept around the people, cutting the bags of stolen coins and other items from their waists as she went. She would return them to their rightful owners later, after she had finished what she had come to do. She looked around for the leader of the thieves. His scars on both eyes made him easy to spot and Anna walked over and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and stood up. He had to look down at Anna, for he was nearly three inches taller than her.
"What do you want?" he asked roughly.
"You're necklace," she replied, her voice calm.
"You hear that guys?" he laughed, turning to his companions. By the time he turned back around, her sword was under his chin, digging into the skin, the sharp blade ready to sink in. This caused the other men to start to draw their own swords and daggers, but the leader stopped them. "This is my fight," he said to them. "If she wants a duel, she can have her wish. He drew a long, roagged dagger from his belt and held it up to Anna's sword, signaling that it was time to start.

The two went on with hardly a scratch until the sun had almost completely dissapeared behind the horizon. The crowd of thieves bood Anna and waved their weapons at her, but dared not touch her. The result were horrible when one disobeyed the leader, who usually got this high ranking for having a creul and and merciless nature surpassing that of all the others. At last the leader cut Anna's already wounded arm and she flinched, clutching her bleeding arm. He used the moment to back her into a wall. Anna jumped onto one of the rocks and leaped off, landing behind the thief lord and slashing him across that back. He gave a horrid scream and slahed out blindly at Anna. She easily blocked his attacked and and hurled his weapon away from him. She ripped the string that held the special gold amulet from his neck and with a mocking 'thanks' she ran off, tucking the amulet into her bag and blocking the blows of thieves trying to catch her by their leaders commands.

Eventually the last thieves fell off her tail, falling against rocks to catch their breaths. Anna continued to run until she was at the edge of the rocky place. She stopped and leaned back against a rock. She ripped a strip of cloth from her cloak and wrapped it tightly aroun her arm, rocking back and forth from the pain. After a minute or two, she got back up and, under the cover of the night, she quickly returned to town.
