The House of Andras, represented in orange and green by a dragon has been known forever as the strongest house, letting out many of the worlds most powerful witches and wizards. Finally Named for the wisest wizard Master wizard Kuldagen's ever knew, House Beliel is represented in yellow and white by a gryphon is known to house the most intelligent of the schools students.

Magical Focuser: Most wizards need a magical focuser of sorts, for most it is a magical wand, others it may be an amulet, a gauntlet is the focuser of choice in some parts of the world, still others use magical weapons, swords, spears, daggers... while few, a very small number, need none, simply using their hands... these mages, these are not the limits, these are just the most common. Those who need no tool can still use focusers, they simply increase the wizard or witches power.
Magic Speciality: Of the many magics that inhabit the world no one man, can master them all, of course vampirse in the past have come close, but their dark gift bars them from the use of the healing magic that allows the other magic to coexist in one body without harm to the user, so even they cannot command all. People can dabble in a little of everything, or they can focus on a speciality.
