saedusk ((Of course. As most of our RPs have always started. xD
Black until I find the color again...))
Sonechka sighed, eyes squinted against the blackness of the tunnel. There really was no need to narrow her vision. Not the faintest of light found its way down here. Yet she did anyway, as was her regular habit. After her growth, she'd taken to wandering the tunnels with no real direction in mind. It'd been the longest time since she'd seen anyone else. Maybe these random trips were her way of looking for a friend. Stopping, she sat, flicking her tail to set across her hooves. The pale fluff at the end, which normally matched the rest of her coat, was specked with dirt from running it across the ground. DArk BLoss0m ((xP))
Hooves thuded lightly against the ground as Asuki made his way through the tunnel, crimson eyes scanning the area ahead of him. Oh, how boring it could be down in these tunnels! Everything was always the same, and he hadn't seen another trast in ages. He liked the surface much better, but he hadn't been able to find a whole leading up to it recently. As he rounded a corner he spotted a white figure sitting in the middle of the tunnel. The red and grey male stopped tilting his hea curiously. "Hey there."
((sorry this took so long. *uninspired*)) saedusk ((S'okay luff. I know how that feels. Dx And just tell me if this color is too light. I tried to match her coat without going too light or dark.))
Surprised by the voice, the femme stiffened. Despite her search for another, she hadn't been expecting to find any, especially after all this time. Well, she hadn't really found him. He'd found her. Shifting, she glanced back, noting the dark patterned pelt of the other. It took her a minute, but she finally turned to him, a little smile slipping to her maw. It wasn't the brightest, but at least it was genuine. "Hello," The adolescent canted her head slightly. "I'm Sonechka. It's nice to meet you." Her tail swished across the ground, gathering more dirt. "It's been a long time since I've seen anyone. Since I was a pup." She nodded lightly. DArk BLoss0m ((that colours okay))
Asuki continued to watch her, head cocked to the side a slight frown on his face as she took a while to turn around. "The names Asuki. Nice to meet you too I suppose." She hadn't seen anyone since she was a pup? That would explain why she's seemed so hesitant. "I haven't seen anyone around in a while either. Pretty boring, eh?" He said, plopping himself down with a huff. saedusk ((M'kay. Thank you. <3))
"Boring," She repeated, nodding once more. "But less boring now, I think." The droll of everyday had been with her for so long that she could barely tell the difference between being bored and not being bored. After all, she couldn't even remember who the first Trast she'd ever met had been. She couldn't recall when she'd grown from a pup. And she barely knew her own name, since no one had called her by it in forever and she rarely found reason to think of it. She remained silent for quite a while afterward, then finally, "You'll stay, won't you, Asuki? You'll stay with me?" She looked hopeful, her tail just daring to switch from a sway to a little wag. DArk BLoss0m Asuki shrugged slightly. He hated being bored. He blinked at the next thing she said. "Huh? What?!" He stood up, head cocked to the side and frowning slighty. "I dunno, I don't even know you!" That had seemed kind of random. They only just meet and suddenly she's saying things like that! Jeez. Females were so weird.
((Asuki... xD)) saedusk ((What a meanie. xD He'll break the poor girl's heart.))
The little wag of her tail quickly stopped. Sonechka looked rather emotionless at first, but the full weight of realization hit soon after. She hadn't meant anything deep by her words. She'd only wanted to be with someone. To not be alone. Was there something wrong with wanting companionship? Soft brown eyes began to water slightly. "I see, well..." Had there been anything too look at in the tunnel besides him, she would've found it as her gaze shifted around. "I'm sorry, sir." Now her hooves shifted uncomfortably. "I'll just go then. I don't want to bother you anymore." She turned and began to pad off. She tried to move quickly, but found it difficult. She merely plodded along. DArk BLoss0m Asuki's eyes widened as the female seemed like she was about to cry. "Hey, don't cry! I'm not trying to be mean or anything just..." The male blinked as she started to walk away. "Hey!" He called to her again. "You don't have to leave! I just meant I don't know you very well so... bah!" He gave up then, slumping down moodily. If she wanted to leave then that was just fine! Why should he care? He turned his head to the side with a huff. saedusk The slow walk slowed further until she was barely moving. Finally, she stopped all together. With a sniff, she looked back over her shoulder. Well, he had said she didn't have to leave. And he'd made a valid point, after all. But logic and its associates had no sitting with her after so long on her own. His earlier words had still stung. Looking back to the path, she squeezed her eyes shut, willing the threatening tears to leave her alone. She shook her head, trying to banish them. "You..." The words came as a surprise to even her. After listening to her own voice, she wasn't quite sure what she'd meant to say to Asuki. "You'll let me stay... then?" If he wouldn't stay with her, maybe he wouldn't mind her staying with him. It wasn't quite the same, she decided. She opened her eyes and the tears fell, but they were weak and merely wet her cheeks a tiny bit. DArk BLoss0m Crimson eyes glanced back up the tunnel as Sonechka stopped. He continued to watch her as she spoke, still looking a bit moody. "Whatever... I don't care if you stay around for now." He said standing up and walking past her, back through the tunnel. The male was sure there was an entrance to outside somewhere around here and he was going to find it. He paused for a moment to look back at the white female. "You coming then?" saedusk Sonechka continued to stare at the path, even at hearing his words. But despite her lack of reaction externally, internally she was already bouncing. As he moved past her, she looked up, watching him carefully with her head tilted just a bit. It looked for a moment as if she weren't going to stay with him at all. But the sound of his voice brought her back to reality with a little jump. "Coming~!" She called, hooves already beating against the floor rapidly to catch up. She slowed as she reached him, though she opted to stay behind rather than try to walk at his side. "Where are we going?" She asked curiously, futally attempting to keep a smile from stretching her maw. DArk BLoss0m "We're going to find something to do." He said without looking back at her. "I'm getting sick of just being in these tunnels." The male continued walking for a quite a but, hooves thudding against the ground as he walked quite heavily. Eventually they reached an area where another tunnel branched off from the main one. He could feel a light breeze coming out of this one. "Ha." Finally. He turned to Sonechka with a toothy grin. "Have you been outside before?" saedusk The femme still looked rather curious at his responce, blinking a bit. But she didn't stop to question him. Instead, she followed intently. A little sound of recognition rose in her throat, just to let him know she'd heard. She kept her eyes mostly plastered on his hooves as they walked, but every once in a while she would peek ahead to see if the tunnels would change soon. And it was as her gaze was focused on the branch that she nearly ran into him from behind. She stopped short, sucking in a breath. Taking a step back, she tilted her head up to the older Trast as he looked to her. "Outside?" Did he mean outside of the tunnels? "No. I don't think so." And surely he hadn't, either. Had he? "You've been outside the tunnels?" DArk BLoss0m He nodded. "Yeah. It's way more interesting than being here. That's where we're going now." With that, Asuki turned into the other tunnel, having to lower his head as this tunnel was smaller than the other one. It didn't take too long reach the small opening that was letting in fresh air. The male stopped, crimson eyes studying the hole for a moment. It was too small to fit through, but no matter. He stood on his hind legs and batted at the opening until it caved enough for him to fit through. Peeking out of the whole, he scanned the area to make sure it was okay. The sun wasn't out so it wasn't too bright, and there didn't seem to be anyone else about. He pulled himself out of the hole amd shook the dirt out of his fur, forming a cloud of dust around him that was quickly taken away by the wind. saedusk "Sounds like it," Sonechka muttered, staring after him as he moved into the side-tunnel. As she followed, she found she didn't have to lower her head as he had, being that she was younger and shorter. The further they moved, the more her excitement grew. It bubbled beneath the surface. For once she wouldn't be bored. Maybe outside was an adventure! Watching as the male scratched away the dirt blocking their exit, her tail flicked happily. And finally it was her turn. Climbing up after him, she cautiously poked her head out and looked around, seeing nothing at first but Asuki's dust cloud. As it cleared, she pulled herself all the way out and joined him, ruffling her fur to clear it of the little dirt that'd taken refuge in her fur. It wasn't nearly as much as he'd had, seeing as she hadn't been the one digging. DArk BLoss0m "Aah. It's nice to be outside." He said trotting forward a little. The male tilted his head toward the sky, squinting as it was brighter than he was used to. He spotted a few scattered stars, but mostly clouds. Asuki turned back toward Sonechka, head cocked to the saide slightly. "So... where do you want to go now?"
((x_x)) saedusk ((xD <3 Wanna call it quits for tonight? I actually really wanna go relax and watch TV until I fall asleep, so I'm gonna head out. We'll continue later, right? ;D G'night!))
Sonechka looked up to the sky, as well. For once she could've used that narrowed eye habit of hers. But instead, she stared wide-eyed at the unusual sight. It was so new. She could barely keep from letting her maw hang open. "It is nice," she finally said, still looking as if something were going to fall from the sky and hit her on the head. The cool breeze was the best after the earth-warmed air that usually filled the tunnels. She moved up to his side once more, sitting as she reached him. "I dunno." Her gaze never left the stars that peeks every once in a while between the clouds. "Is there somewhere with a clearer view of the shiney things?" Sure, they hurt her eyes a bit, but she wanted to see them clearly.

saedusk ((M'kay. <3))
Sonechka stretched, tail flicking idly behind her. For the longest time she'd had her gave averted to the ground. Even though there was little light, save for the moon and stars, her eyes had still begun to hurt. Yet, she didn't complain. This trip to the surface had been the most fun sort of adventure she'd had in forever. It was too early to go back now. Lifting her gaze, she looked to Asuki for a moment. "Where are we going next?" She asked, barely able to mask the extreme eagerness in her voice. DArk BLoss0m Asuki sat not too far away from Sone staring off in a random direction, a slight frown on his face as if he was deep in thought. His eyes were starting to adjust to being outside, but they still hurt a bit. He blinked, snapping out of his daze when Sone spoke to him. "Huh? Oh... uh..." The male stood up looking around quickly before rolling his shoulders in a shrug. "I dunno. Where do you want to go?" saedusk Canting her head, the femme blinked curiously. "Well, I dunno, either." She looked around, squinting a bit. "This is my first time up here, remember? I dunno what there is to see..." Sone looked contemplative for a moment, narrowing her gaze in a thoughtful way as it moved from there surroundings, to Asuki, and back again. She knew next to nothing about this world outside the tunnels.

DArk BLoss0m LIES! D< *starts slashing at Hai with her claws*
Sae: Yeah I used to be addicted to PS. xD Not so much recently though. >_> *still has a bunch of unfinished games*
Odin: *struts around in all his glory* cool .... *walks into a wall* saedusk I really just wanna play Soul Calibur 3. And Okami (but only because my friend is borrowing it right now).
Sonechka: *blinks curiously at Odin* Are you okay...? D:
Btw, we should definitely RP sometime. xD DArk BLoss0m I need to get SC3. D8 *<3's those games* And yeah, we should definately rp sometime. x3
Hai: DDX *summons FFOdin and sends him after Hai*
Odin: *shakes the dizziness away* Yeah, of course I'm all right!xP saedusk YAY~ 8D *debates getting her PS2 out now*
Sonechka: Oh, that's good! *smiles, tail flicking happily as she pads over to Odin* I'm Sonechka, what's your name? DArk BLoss0m *FFOdin collides with FF8 Eden*
Odin: *blinks at Sone* I'm Odin...
((I have to go for a bit now. I'll be back on later though, if you guys are still here.)) saedusk Sonechka: Nice ta meet'cha, Odin. :3 *happy tag wag, happy tail wag*
M'kay, Dark-luff. See you! *skips off to get her PS2* saedusk Sone: *tail stops wagging and she plops down on her bum* You guess? *curious head-tilt*
My main character uses his scythe, too! 8D I have so many. The campaign mode is my life. I spent so much time on it because it gets ridiculously difficult. xD
Edit: FF8 and FF10 were the only ones I even finished. xP DArk BLoss0m The only FF games I've played were 7, 8, and X-2 and X-2 was the only one I've finished. xP It was easy... and short.
I'm gonna have to try SC3 now. D:
Odin: *shrugs* Yeah... saedusk FF8 is like... my baby, I dunno. It was the first one I ever bought and beat and I've beaten it twice. But no matter how many times I do it, I doubt the story is ever going to make anything more than 'almost sense.' xD
I think I'm on the final mission, I'm not sure. But yeah, I dunno if I'm ever gonna worry about it. I'm probably too rusty to beat it now, anyway. D8
Sone: *tail flick, looks almost serious* You don't get excited very easily, do you? DArk BLoss0m FF7 is my favourite game. xD I almost made it to the end but I couldn't beat stupid Jenova! DD<
Odin: *blinks* Why should I get excited?Odin's too serious. xD He needs to loosen up. saedusk I've never even played FF7. Only watched others play it. ^^;
Sone: *pouts* Because it's fun to meet new faces.I'm sure Sone would try, but her personality can be kinda annoying, so it might not work. xD DArk BLoss0m Heh. xD *<3's Red XIII and Vincent*
Odin: *shrugs* Not for me.Maybe. xD But Odin's personality is BORING. He's not very social. xP saedusk *watched a friend play Dirge of Cerberus, too* One of the boss battles was ridiculous. She ended up running out of ammo and there were no enemies who replenished it (like in most boss battles) so she had to let herself die. @_@
Sone: *head-tilt* Well, what is exciting for you, then?Aw, he's not boring, he's just.... anti... social...? *fails* xD DArk BLoss0m Haha! xD I hate it when that happens.
Odin: I don't know... -_-Yeah... xD He just needs to be pulled out of his shell. He had a traumatizing experience as a pup though, and that's kinda why he's like this. xP saedusk Same here. :B
Sone: You don't know?! That's as bad as nothing! *hops up and pads closer, nudging at his shoulder* Well, c'mon. We have to find out what makes you excited. *not at all pushy*What kind of traumatizing experience? Dx DArk BLoss0m I once got stuck fighting one of those things that turns you into frogs in FF7 plus this other big thing that could only use poison... I didn't have cures for either of them. x_< It was a slooow battle.
Odin: Why do we have to? >_>His parents were killed and he got wounded really badly too. *points to the scars on his eyes* That's why he's blind, see? 8D He blocked it out, so he doesn't really remember it, but still. >_> saedusk I've had battles like that. Getting poisoned when you don't have heals for that = fail. The final battle in FF8 sucked, too. I was down to my last character (Squall) and the stupid lady kept coming back. She had a kajillion forms. D: *major exaggeration*
Sone: Because I said so, Silly! Besides, it'll be fun. <3 *nudgenudge*Poor thing. ;_; And now his blindness leads to running into walls and being harassed by crazy polar bear Trasts. I dunno, I honestly think she lost it somewhere in those tunnels... DArk BLoss0m I never made it to that battle in FF8. I think I was only about half way through. D= Really need to finish it though. *loves that game*
Odin: And what if nothing makes me excited? You'll leave me alone then, right?Hehe. Yeah. xD He can have a bit of a temper too though. >_> saedusk It's definitely a good game. If not more than a little strange. I definitely recommend finishing it someday.
Sone: Mmmmm.... Sure. Maybe. But there's gotta be something that makes you excited.Meanies with tempers make Sone cry. xD *brick'd* DArk BLoss0m Yeah, it was kinda strange. xD Sweet though.
Odin: Well then... good luck trying to find something. -_-
((Meanies like Asuki! 8D
Asuki: ... *tosses another brick at Dark* DD saedusk I've never played Tales of Symphonia. Sad ending? ^^;
Sone: You have to help me look! *continues to nudge* C'mon, c'mon! We've gotta search!
((Yeah! D< *brick'd alsoo~* Sone: Asukiiii! <333 *charges at*)) DArk BLoss0m I've never played that game either.
Odin: Nope! *plops down* You're the one that wants to find something to excite me, so find it on your own! And... stop touching me. -_-
(( Asuki: Oh no. D: STAY AWAY FROM ME YA FREAK! DD< *dives for cover* )) saedusk Sone: *huffs* FINE! But I'll be back with something exciting, so don't go anywhere! *stomps off determinedly*
((Sone: *stops mid-charge and plops down with watery eyes* Asuki hates meeee! DDD; *cries*)) DArk BLoss0m Odin: Good luck! *flops down to take a quick nap while she's gone*
(( Asuki: *rolls his eyes* Oh stop crying ya crybaby! D< I didn't mean it.)) saedusk Sone: *zooms back moments later with something wriggling in her mouth...* Ophin, Ophin! Mafe up! *dangles the mole close enough for him to feel* Dofs moles ephite you, Ophin?
((Sone: *sniffles* I'm not a crybaby... *gets up and slinks closer* You really didn't mean it, though? *tentative tail wag*)) DArk BLoss0m Odin: *sniffs at the mole* Not really...
(( Asuki: Yes you are! Crybabycrybaby! *chants and sticks his tongue out at her* Of course I didn't mean it, stupid! -_- Stop being so sensitive. )) saedusk Sone: *drops the mole and they both skitter away* Hm... What's exciting? *zooms back seconds later with a root in her mouth and drops it at his hooves* Do tasty plant roots excite you, Odin?
((Sone: *huffs and sticks her tongue out in return* You say such mean things, how can I not be sensitive?! *bats at his head*)) DArk BLoss0m Odin: *blinks, looking mildly disgusted* No.. *bats it away* -_- Just gove up. You're never gonna find anything. There's nothing you can do to change my mood. *turns and starts walking away*
(( Asuki: I'm sorry, but that last one was true! *bats back*))((We should rp Zhenya and Calli again sometime. >_> *just found the new banthi thread*)) saedusk Sone: Waaait! D: *pads after him* I know there's just gotta be something! *honestly thinks for a minute* How about kisses? I know I like getting kisses! *gives him a big lick on the cheek*
((Sone: *giggles* Yeah, yeah, I guess so. And you being a meanie is true.))((We should! Aw, I missed those two. x3)) DArk BLoss0m Odin: Ugh! DX *shrinks away* Didn't I tell you not to touch me?! D<
(( Asuki: Nothin' wrong with being a meanie. >_> )) saedusk Sone: *whimpers, defeated* I... I'm sorry. I just wanted to make you happy. *starts crying*
((Sone: So says you. Meanies don't make as many friends. *not that she has many*)) DArk BLoss0m Odin: Well, I told you it wouldn't work, didn't I? *walks away*
(( Asuki: Pfft. I have plenty of friends. >__> )) saedusk Sone: *sniffles* Nuuu~ Don't go, Odin! *follows quickly* I bet one day I'll find something that'll excite you!
((Sone: Oh, do you? *tilts her head, genuinely curious* Can you introduce me to them sometime?)) DArk BLoss0m Odin: Like I said, there's nothing you could do to make me happy. You'd be better off to just leave me alone!
((We should rp them formally sometime!
Asuki: Of course I can! None of them around now though, so you'll have to wait. >_> *wonders where Natsuka is*)) saedusk Sone: Hm. You say that now, but how can you be so sure?
((Most definitely! I'm available whenever, but my online time is really sporadic, so it'll definitely have to be continuous.
Sone: I can wait. :3 It'll be fun to meet more new faces!))
Aaand, I'm gonna get going. Sone was all over tonight. :B G'night luff!

DArk BLoss0m Odin sqeezed through a small entrance in the earth grumbling moodily. It was getting harder and harder to fit through that hole, and he'd already enlarged it TWICE. Maybe he'd just have to find a new one, as hard as that would be without sight. With a huff the young male crawled out of the smaller tunnel into the main one. He shook the loose dust off his fur quickly and then stretched, rolling his shoulders forward. He'd been outside sleeping pretty much all morning, and though the light couldn't bother him, the heat eventually did. It was nice to get back down here where it was nice and cool. He sniffed the air quickly and listened for a moment before trotting off down the tunnel. saedusk Swish, swish, swish. The furred tip of a young female's tail swept against the ground as she trotted along. The dark tunnels were familiar, considering how many times she'd moved up and down them, back and forth. Already she'd found three passages to the surface, a few dead ends, and quite a few that seemed to stretch for eternity. After all, what else was there to do for a Trast so adventurous as she? Journeys to the surface had lost their luster, especially without someone to go with. Where was that meanie Asuki when you needed him? Huffing to herself, Sone continued on the path until the echoes in the tunnel changed. Her own steps slowed, but still she could hear a rhythmic pounding of hooves than kept a more steady pace. Stopping fully, she tilted her head, sensitive ears straining forward. Something coming this way? The echoes said no, but the vibrations of the ground said yes. DArk BLoss0m Odin's ears swiveled forward as his heightened senses picked up on the other Trast. He continued to walk and listen carefully until the sound of hooves stopped, then he stopped too. Whoever it was had obviously noticed him. He leaned his head forward slightly and sniffed the air, but he was too far away to catch the scent with no breeze to carry it. The young male straightened up and pondered for a moment. Did he really feel like dealing with anyone today? Not really. Deciding it didn't matter who they were, he turned and started walking in the opposite direction. saedusk ((No worries. :3
She's still an adolescent. ))
The sounds stopped. A few moments passed as she stood quietly, just listening. And then they started up again, the echoing clop of hooves. But it was getting weaker and the vibrations were moving away! Realizing with a sudden quickness that her chance to no longer be alone was escaping down the tunnel away from her, she started off after whomever it was. She didn't doubt it was another Trast. The sound of hooves was familiar and obvious enough. But why had they suddenly decided to go the other way? She didn't understand it! Huffing as she jogged, it didn't take long to recognize a shape in front of her. "Hey, hey!" She called, unable to tell who it was from this distance. That hardly mattered, though. Company was still company and something Sone hungered for. DArk BLoss0m He let out a long sigh of frustration as he heard the sound of hooves behind him again, this time moving fast to catch up. "Great..." He mumbled under his breath. What could they want? Odin stopped walking completely when he heard her calling to him, recognising the voice.
"Oh... it's you again." He said as he turned towards her, keeping his face expressionless. "What do you want now?" He stood and waited for an answer, eyes staring at a spot that was slightly to her right. saedusk "Odin!" She stopped in her tracks, grinning ear to ear. The fact that he didn't sound overly interested didn't bother her in the slightest. In fact, she seemed oblivious to it, going on as if he was as happy to see her as she was to see him. "I was just walking and I heard someone else, so I thought I'd come see. I like to meet new faces, remember? And meet up with old ones, too." A firm nod asserted her statement, though it probably wouldn't do much for her current company. The fan of fur on the tip of her tail grew ever dirtier with each happy swish across the ground. "Sooo, I just wanted to see you, I guess." She said idly as she looked to her side habitually, since he'd done so first. DArk BLoss0m Odin was somewhat surprised at how happy she seemed to see him, but mostly just irritated. How could she be so happy? Hadn't he told her to leave him alone last time they'd met? Apparently she hadn't gotten that. What was her name again? He couldn't remember. Oh well, it didn't matter.
"Well... " He said when she was done her little babble. "Now that you've seen me, I'll just be on my way." He turned around and started walking away again. "Bye bye." saedusk "Ha?" It was just like last time, wasn't it? He was obviously more than willing to walk away from her whenever he wanted. However, Sone was certainly not the type to let him go until she was good and ready. Being alone for too long upset her. She wondered how he could be alone and not be unhappy about it. "Wait! Don't go!" Just seeing him wasn't enough. Besides, didn't she still have to find something that excited him? It would be easier if she was by his side. Trotting to keep up, she shrugged off the slightly frazzled air that had come over her before. "It's not that bad to keep someone company, is it?" DArk BLoss0m Odin had been hoping she'd leave him alone, and for just a second thought she might. He almost cringed when he heard her running to catch up. She really wasn't going to leave him alone was she.
"Isn't there anyone else who can keep you company? There must be if you like meeting others so much. Why don't you go find them?" Why did she have to bug him? He wasn't even nice to her. He didn't even want her around! He didn't understand it. Most others just backed off when he acted like this. There was just one other that he could think of who didn't, and that was Soul, but he didn't count. saedusk The fact that he didn't speed up to get away was enough. And even though his words were still trying to make her leave, she was over that. As of yet, he hadn't said anything directly mean to her. And so, that out-there personality of hers enabled her to act--once again--as if they were both happy to be part of this conversation. "Well, it's not that easy to find others in all these tunnels, you know." She stated matter-of-factly. She would know, having traversed these tunnels many a time without the luck of meeting up with another to cure her loneliness. "I've lived here for a long time and barely met anyone." DArk BLoss0m "It can't be that hard to find others if you've run into me twice." He said bitterly. "I don't even want you around me." The male could think of one way of getting her to stop following him though. Unless she was stupid. He let out another frustrated sigh. "So, how long are you planning on following me?" saedusk Huffing, she tossed her head. But despite her show, nothing came to mind to refute his fact. Well, fine. So he did have a little point. Not that it would make her run off to look for someone else. Sone wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Ears slid back at his next statement. That one stung a bit, but she wasn't ready to give up just yet. Choosing to refrain from gracing that one with an answer, as well, she kept listening. "I dunno. However long I feel like it, I guess." And that tended to vary. DArk BLoss0m Odin shook his head huffing. He didn't understand how someone could be so needy. It was okay for now since she wasn't really doing anything to annoy him, but still.
"Why are you even following me anyway?" He asked after a moment of silence. "You know I don't want you to, and if it's because you're still trying to make me happy, I already told you it's never going to work." saedusk ((Really sorry that took so long. And it's lame... ^^; ))
"You don't know that!" She shouted without thought. Still, it held honest sentiment. "Sometimes you don't know if something is going to make you happy." That came from her own experience. Being alone had been normal for her. When she met Asuki, though, she realized how nice it was to have someone to talk to. She was positive she would be able to find something to make him happy and he wouldn't even see it coming! DArk BLoss0m (( Bah! It's fine. All my posts are lame. ))
"And you don't know for sure if you can make me happy. I know what I want and it's nothing you can give me." He picked up the pace a little then, the firey orange mist that surrounded him whisping around his legs as he did. What he wanted was to be in the Elite, and only the leader could decide that, though he hadn't seen Soul since he was a pup. saedusk Pouting, she stopped for a moment, watching the gap between them grow until she almost couldn't see him moving down the tunnel. She hadn't given up, though. Oh, no. Nothing like that. It would be more accurate to say she was merely... re-gauging the difficulty of the mission she'd chosen to take. Tail flicking against the ground, she took off after him, jogging just until she caught up and power-walking once she was at his side again. "Let's see who's wrong, then," she said with a grin, absolutely positive that he would be the one proven wrong. "Maybe we could make it a ga- a contest." Would choosing contest over game make him more willing to accept? Either way, contest made it sound better, she thought with a firm nod for herself. DArk BLoss0m Odin heard the pounding of hooves beside him stop, though he didn't get his hopes up. He knew better now than to think she'd leave him alone just like that. The male continued to walk without slowing his pace, listening carefully until he heard her running to catch up. "What a surprise..." He mumbled bitterly. He listened to what she had to say and then sighed.
"You know what might make me happy? If you just leave me alone! So if you really want me to be happy that badly, you should just go aw-" With Sone there, he'd completely forgotten there was a turn here and walked straight into the wall with an 'Oof!' He staggered back from the wall and shook his head to regain his focus. "Damnit!" He snarled, slaming his hoof on the ground angrily. "Now look what you made me do!" That never would have happened if she hadn't been distracting him! He gritted his teeth together and went storming down the tunnel, almost bumping into Sone as he passed her. saedusk Leave him alone? Pfft, like that was going to happen. After all, her being gone couldn't be the only thing that would make him happy. Tossing her head, she only half-listened. That is, until an unusual sound met her ears. They slid forward, guiding her head as she looked back to him. She hadn't seen what had happened, but it honestly wasn't difficult putting two and two together. Brows furrowed in worry, but the expression quickly shifted at the loud, unfriendly stomp of his hoof. The startled expression she now wore only increased as he angrily blamed his accident on her and ran past. "Odin!" she shouted after his retreating form. She hadn't meant to! The simple fact that he'd made it her fault convinced her completely that it had been. "Odin, wait! I'm sorry!" Frustration welled in her eyes as tears and she took a step forward, then another, and another until she'd broken into a run to catch up. "I'm sorry, please wait!" Her childish disposition didn't put up with such situations very easily. DArk BLoss0m ((Aw, she's so cute. xD))
His ears swiveled back as he heard her calling after him. Though he couldn't see, he could tell from her voice that she was about to start crying and part of him felt ashamed for taking it out on her like that when it was completely his fault for getting so worked up over nothing. He knew she hadn't done anything to deserve that, but he was too embarrassed and ashamed to admit that. He cursed mentally. He didn't care what anyone said, it was a weakness!
Odin slowed his pace a little when he heard Sone running to catch up and when he thought she was getting close turned around to face her. "All right!" He said. "We'll have your stupid contest! I'll give you until night, then you go away." saedusk ((So cute and yet so easily irritating. xD I loves mah girl.))
In the middle of another apology, the running femme nearly missed the fact that he'd stopped in front of her. Eyes widened in realization--as the clop of her own hooves made ears useless--and she immediately put on the breaks. Probably a bad idea, considering she still had a good five feet to stop before she tumbled forward and landed in a heap on the ground. Bum gracelessly up in the air, it was a good thing for her pride (however much that was) that he couldn't see her stunt. However, hearing his offer turned her spirits in a second. Still sprawled out across the tunnel, that dust-collector tail of hers smacked happily against anything and everything in its happy wave. "Really? You've got yourself a deal then!" Until nightfall was plenty of time! Or so she hoped, secretly having no clue what time it actually was. Pushing herself to her hooves once more, she shook out her pelt. "We'd better get started right away!" DArk BLoss0m Odin may not have been able to see her little stunt, but he certainly heard it. The corners of his mouth flickered up in a brief smile that was gone too fast to even notice. It was almost like getting even, making her fall like that. Now he didn't feel so stupid.
He frowned at her words and tilted his head, staring unseeingly at a spot above her head as if he was considering something very seriously. "No..." He said after a moment, then turning he flopped down on his side leaning slightly against the wall. "We're not starting anything. I am going to go to sleep, and when I wake up it'll be night outside, and you'll be gone." With that said he yawned loudly and rested his chin on his head. Of course, he didn't actually believe she would let him sleep, but it was worth a try. saedusk ((And fun to irritate. *coughcough* :B))
The polar bear clacked her teeth together in disdain. But other than that, she didn't argue his decision. At least not yet. He was right to think she wouldn't let him sleep. Turning tail, she trotted off down the tunnel. Round two of the find-stuff-to-make-Odin-happy game. Moles were out of the question, as were kisses and roots. Tasty roots... They were hard to find, too. How rude of him, wasting that last one! Still, thoughts of past failed attempts aside, she thought seriously about what could be interesting enough to make someone happy. Turning down a side-tunnel, she moved along until she heard the sound of water, though very faint. However, it didn't take long for her to find a tiny trickle inching down the wall. Nosing at the base of the wall where the water settled, she eventually found what she was looking for. A pebble. But not just any old boring pebble. This one was soft and smooth after being dripped on so long.
Carefully taking the pebble between her teeth, she started off. Excitement wanted her to race back to the male, but not wanting to accidentally swallow the prize kept her pace steady. When he finally came into view, her tail whipped up. And after carefully setting the pebble near him, she nosed gently at his shoulder and neck. "Odin, wake up! Touch this rock, it rolls just like a ball! Isn't that neat?" DArk BLoss0m (( Crappy post. D= ))
Odin's ears flicked forward as he listened to her fading footsteps. Well, at least he'd get some time to relax before she came back. The scars over his eyes were starting to sting dully. It happened once in a while. He rubbed at them lightly with his hoof and considered leaving while he had the chance and going above ground. Even if she followed his scent she couldn't follow him up there, though he drifted off before he could make a decision. When Sone got back he was sleeping just deep enough not to hear her coming, so he grunted and pulled away when he felt her nudging him. She'd woken him up for a rock? He frowned at her, not even bothering to feel for the small pebble.
"So...?" saedusk ((*is on winter break and doesn't have to get up* 8D
Pfft. Not crappy. D: Besides, a pebble is the best thing I could come up with. Yeah. Although that honestly would be something Sone would get excited over...))
What, so that didn't work, either? Not after all the trouble she'd put into finding it. "You have to at least feel it. Just once! Pleeeease?" Nosing the little rock, she pushed it closer to him, making sure it just barely touched the side of his front leg. There weren't a whole lot of interesting things left in the underground. If this one didn't get a reaction, she wasn't sure what would. Slightly dirtied ears slid back. The likelyhood that she'd have to go to the surface to find something was rising. Staying in the sun was extremely difficult, however. Even the moon burned her eyes.... Not that waiting until nightfall was an option. Her mind ran with ideas, though she wasn't willing to go until he'd rolled the pebble, himself. DArk BLoss0m Her efforts were wasted on him, really, he just wasn't very excitable. There was nothing she could find to get the reaction she wanted, above or below ground, he was positive of that. He doubted she would listen if he tried to tell her that though. The young male sighed irritably and and tossed the pebble aside, without actually bothering to feel it. "I don't care about the rock. If you like it so much, then you keep it." saedusk Watching him so thoughtlessly toss her hard-found rock, she pouted. Dropping immediately to her bum, she stared long and hard at the male, hoping he could feel it, even though he couldn't see it. Normally she wasn't one to anger. And honestly, she wasn't angry, she was just trying her best to mask the disappointment and keep herself from crying again. "Well, how am I supposed to keep it if you throw it away where I can't find it?" she snapped, nearly choking on the upset feelings that rose in her throat. "I'm not gonna give up, though!" she made sure he knew, flicking her tail against the ground. But despite these words, her mind couldn't seem to come up with something else to show him. DArk BLoss0m He could sense her watching him, but said nothing. Simply stared back, his clouded eyes seeming to look right through her. When she did say something he snorted, swinging his blind gaze away from her. "The same way you found it the first time?" He said. "You have eyes, use them." He could hear the emotion in her voice, but didn't feel bad. He'd told her to leave him alone, she was just being stubborn now. The male sighed and shook his head. "You're wasting your time..." He got to his feet and started walking down the tunnel again, ears twisted back listening for the sounds of her following. saedusk Well, with so much time to waste, what else was she supposed to do? "I found it with my ears the first time!" She called after him as he walked off. It was a familiar sight by now, his back as he moved away from her. But if that simple sight was familiar, than certainly her following should be familiar to him. He was right to listen for her. Continuing to stare down the tunnel, she pouted, tail flicking against the wall. Taking just a second longer to look back to the general area the pebble had been swatted to, she sighed. "Ah well." Hooves pounded against dirt as she trotted to catch up. After just a little while, she could see him again, though he was still ahead. "Do you like the surface?" she questioned idly, moving closer still. "There's so much up there, I bet you'd like something." DArk BLoss0m It took a while. Odin was almost out of range by the time he heard her hooves pounding after him. He sighed and shook his head, wondering when she would realize what she was trying to do was pointless. If she was just following him for company, okay. Maybe that wouldn't be so bad, but she had to keep going on about 'making him happy'. It was annoying. He was perfectly happy the way he was. Just not very excitable. There was nothing wrong with that. He thought about trying to tell her this, but he didn't think she'd listen. Or maybe she was just too dumb to understand? Either way, didn't make a difference.
"The surface?" He said without looking back or slowing his pace. "Yeah. I'm not as likely to be bothered by someone like you when I'm up there." The male thought about the second thing she said, trying to remember everything on the surface. There was nothing up there that interested him either. Sure, it must've been great for others who could see the open sky above them, and endless stars, but he didn't have that luxury. "It can be dangerous too you know." He said to her. He would never forget that little fact either, the blackness being a constant reminder. Plus the pain in his scars that he felt sometimes, as if not being able to see wasn't enough. saedusk Since he didn't have the courtesy to slow for her, she picked up the pace in order to reach his side again. Letting out a huff of somewhat relief upon making it, she shook her head. Childish enthusiasm was one of her strong points, but even she could tell she was losing this fight. It bothered her that he didn't appreciate her company the way she did his. Despite how rudely he treated her at times, being alone was something she abhorred with her entire being. Alone was what she'd been nearly her entire life. Asuki had been the first of her kind she'd met, Odin the second. And they were the only.
"Well, I think having company on the surface is better," she told him matter-of-factly. Not that she'd ever been to the surface on her own for comparison. Looking to her hooves, she idly wondered when the next time she'd see the surface would be. It always made her nervous, not knowing when the sun would be out. It was bright enough with just the moon and stars. Sone's poor sense of time would likely lead her up exactly when the sun was highest and brightest. "Dangerous?" Eyes blinked and moved from her hooves back to him. "What kind of dangerous?" She thought surely he must mean burn-your-eyes dangerous. She never expected there was anything else. DArk BLoss0m He flicked an ear in her direction as she caught up, shaking his head slightly at watch she said. "It's all the same to me. And have you ever even been to the surface?" He asked frowning slightly. When she asked about it being dangerous, he stopped, turning his head to face her, eyes squinting slightly as if he was trying to see through the eternal darkness. "Just look at my eyes. The sun didn't cause that, and it didn't happen naturally either." He knew it was rare for a Trast to get attacked, but it did happen occasionally to pups or loners. His mother and him had been the unfortunate ones, and as mean as he was, he didn't want it to happen to anyone else.
((*is slow too* xD )) saedusk "Of course I've been to the surface." An affirmative nod backed up her statement, force of habit more than anything else. It made it easier to speak with herself and not feel completely foolish if one side of the conversation was oral and the other was physical. Stopping with him, she didn't realize the situation would take such a serious turn until it was too late and she was left staring dumbly and most unprepared. Brown eyes watched milky white ones. It took a minute, but she finally connected the dots. She suddenly felt strange. Ears slid back and shoulders drooped. What had happened? she wondered. What could've been so bad that it caused such scars? The sun most certainly couldn't have done that, just as he said. The fact that he was blind had just been to her; she hadn't even stopped for one moment to consider why. "But wha-" Then again, did she really want to know? The trailed off question was left lie.
((We win. 8D)) DArk BLoss0m He stood there and waited as she took a moment to connect the dots. It was obvious she hadn't even given it any thought before. He shook head slowly at the unfinished question. "I barely remember." And what he did remember he wasn't willing to talk about, so he turned away and started walking again, not caring if she followed or not. He didn't even know where he was going. Before he'd just been moving as an attempt to get away from her, but it didn't seem like that would happen. Maybe he'd go to the surface. If it was still daylight outside it would give him a little time alone at least. If it wasn't, she'd have to leave anyway, like they'd agreed. With that decided he picked up the pace and started heading towards the nearest entrance he knew of.
(( We need to have something fun happen. xD Like some evil crazy Trast attack them if anyone'd be willing. Odin needs a fight! O< )) saedusk "Mm..." Slowly she blinked out of what felt like a stupor, realizing quickly that he'd begun to leave again. Rising, she looked around for a moment as if expecting something, but shrugged off the thought as she moved to follow. Perhaps the catch-up wasn't as vigorous as usual, but it was still obvious that she didn't want him to get too far away. And it was certainly likely that she had no idea he was going to the surface to finally get away from her one way or another. In fact, she'd completely forgotten about that little detail of their agreement, having been far too absorbed in finding something that would excite him and then having to stop and think about what possibly could've happened to him on the surface. "Where are we going now?" the question was slightly awkward as she tried to make conversation and act normal again.
((That would be exciting! :0 If I had an extra, crazy Trast I'd totally volunteer it. xP)) xx - shadow requiiem The sickening snap of bones being crushed wrang throughout the tunnels, the thick dirt walls carrying the sound to all throughout the complex tunnel system. The sound of the occasional hoof fall was also evident but hardly noticeable above the sounds of some poor thing being devoured. A bulky figure was making its way through the tunnels, munching happily on its prey. The trast had a smirk planted on his wicked muzzle as the remains of a bird hung from his jaws. Blood stained the off white fur around his muzzle and down his chest. He was truly enjoying his prize from his adventure on the surface. Feather fell to the floor as he walked along along with the occasional bone. His mane wavered behind him as he walked as if caught in some breeze, a startlingly contrast to his fur. It was the color of fire just like the two patches of fur that rest on his legs. His tail gave a twitch every now and then. His red eyes gleamed maliciously as the crazed trast walked along looking for someone to perhaps entertain him. It came soon enough.
He heard footsteps approaching him and fast. He cocked an eyebrow, something like happiness stirring behind his eyes. He'd finally have someone to toy with a big. He sucked the marrow out of a bone idly and waited until not one but two trasts came form the shadows and met him. He sat down, being sure to block their path. His smirk grew wider and more crazed, the smirk of a trast who had something in store for his two new friends. "Hellloooo~" he managed to get out around the bird's corpse, which he spat out in front of Sone a moment later. "Oh excuse me, I forgot my manners for a moment there," He purred in his velveteen voice. His tail came to a rest by his side as he examined the two before him. At once he took note that the male's eyes were a milky white. He assumed he was blind at once. His attention turned to Sone, however, and he gave a low growl of approval. "Hey there, darlin'." He chuckled, licking the blood off his teeth and maw nonchalantly.
"You're a real cutie," He purred, standing and taking a few steps towards Sone. They were menacing in nature. saedusk Well, she sure hoped he could sense the aura of impatience that was beginning to rise from her, masking the earlier awkwardness with a normality that was the overly active little female. The question of where they were going still hung between them, unanswered and waiting. And while she was surely growing used to Odin's nature by now, that didn't keep her from wondering and wondering without fail. So it had only been a few moments. That was long enough. "Where ar-" the words stopped, the sentence falling from her maw unfinished as ears flicked back sharply. What an offending sound. It was a different sort of snapping, something she'd never had the misfortune to hear before. Although, she thought to attribute it to imagination as the sounds ceased. If only they hadn't been echoing at her back now, pushing her nervously forward until the path was no longer clear for travel.
A squeak rose in her throat as the corpse made its way for her without warning. A hoof was withdrawn instantly, as if she feared letting the meal stain her pale coat as it had this new male's. The dirt that already clung in her tail, mane, and all about the rest of her bothered her little in comparison, it seemed. "Ah, hiya." The answer was slow and thoughtout for as short as it was. It wasn't every day that she met new trast, sure, but it also wasn't every day that she had bird remains spit at her, either. Brown eyes looked momentarily at the striped male at her side before returning to their new company. Despite the wariness she most certainly felt, naïveté eventually showed its face and a smile, albeit small at first, curved her maw. "Thanks!" It wasn't every day she got compliments, either. Especially not with the company she normally had the pleasure of keeping. "That's nice of you..." As he moved forward, she took a little step back. Perhaps it was just a reaction. DArk BLoss0m Odin could sense the female's impatience, slightly, though he didn't care. Once he got to the surface she'd have to leave either way, then he could enjoy some time by himself. His ears flickered towards her briefly as she started to speak, though they flicked forward suddenly as her sentence was cut off by a loud crack. He frowned, recognising the sound as cracking bones. Listening carefully, his heightened ears picked up the sounds of the creature being eaten, and under that the sounds of footsteps. It wasn't long before he was forced to stop by the stranger blocking the tunnel. He frowned in disgust as he heard the sound of the corpse being spat out, and then the sound of the other Trasts voice. Immediately he didn't like the other male, and it was obvious from his expression he didn't trust him. He kept his ears forward, listening for any sound the other made. The striped male was a little irritated by Sone, though when he heard the other male take a step towards her, he stepped forward and to the side so that he was standing slightly infront og her. "Who are you?"
(( Bah! )) xx - shadow requiiem Rapidash was rather surprised at the female's expression, which was currently an ever-growing smile. She was quite obviously naive which made the male want to laugh at her stupidity. What eventually made a snicker spill from his maw was the fact she'd even thanked him for his compliment. "Yes, very nice of me indeed!" He agreed in a whole-hearted manner, making it clear he would not take another step forewards just yet. He took in sight of the female's pale coat and thoughtful brown eyes. He hardly paid the male at her side any attention. It wasn't until Odin stepped in front of him did he bother to look at him thoroughly. He did so with a slightly disgusted look on his face as if he were looking at garbage. This male looked annoyed and this amused Rapidash. It was visible in his eyes. "Who am I?" He asked as if in shock. He acted as though he couldn't believe Odin had the audacity to even ask. "Just a wanderer," He added humbly even though it wasn't too terribly true. He belonged to Ferrous' pack of course and was not a rogue.
"If you must know," He added, rolling his eyes and side stepping the male until he found himself right in front of Sone. "What's a pretty little girl like yourself doing with such an ugly fellow?" He chuckled, turning his head to monitor Odin's reaction with a nasty grin.
