Anyone listen to the radio often? I typically stick to mp3s and discovering them on websites or something. But I rarely listen to the radio. As of late I've been listening to pandora radio more often than before. (Before it was only when I was at work on very few occasions I got bored of what I got).

But does anyone listen to the radio from a local radio station? (Not online ones) If so...did you ever win anything? I know there's sometimes those random prize moments.

Nope, I never really listen to anything on the radio. Whenever I do, it's always 102.7 / WEBN. It's basically the rock channel for Cincinnati. Sometimes I'll find songs on there I like and haven't heard, so it's pretty nice. Most songs I've heard, though. I usually find my music through MP3s, too. That and YouTube or friends.

I've never won anything from the radio. WEBN usually gives out concert tickets when they do give prizes out, but to do that, you gotta call (I don't have the number but I can get it easily) and you usually have to answer certain questions. (I never know 'em) burning_eyes

hehe...I've never tried them before but I doubt I'd win since I never know anything that they ask as well. XD

I was talking to a friend and she was telling me about how her sister used to always call and win things a lot. Lucky~!

About the radio station there that you posted...Oooh! You can listen to songs on their website too.

I don't listen to the radio simply because they don't usually play music that I really like and would listen to all day.

Except it seems like every time I listen to the radio, in a friend's car and such, they're playing Sexy Chick
I didn't really like the song the first time I heard it.
But it's one of those songs that's grown on me and now I love it because it makes me giggle and dance.
(That version is censored, the original is Sexy b***h and I believe calling a girl that would be disrespectful.)

i like to have the radio on in teh background when i'm chilling out, but recently i've been working so i can't really work well with music.
i tend to listen to 'KERRANG!' radio - the DJs are good and it has all old and new rock music on, so i can keep up to date and discover new bands

When out on the road, I'll listen to the radio, but nowhere else.
Probably the local music channel. (97.1.. I think...) and then another one called K-LOVE (101.1). It's mainly christian rock, but the music sounds good...

I wake up to a radio station that plays random songs (so I don't get tired of a certain genre).

An example of the randomness: one morning I woke up to lean on me, and the next morning it was Sexy Back.

I don't care much for the radio. If I listen to a popular station, I end up hearing some song I hate that became popular. If anything, I'll listen to the Jazz or Classical station.

I can work with music. I can multi-task well actually. What I can't do is talk and do something else at the same time. XD I realized that it's really hard to carry a conversation and concentrate on various works.

lol... I'm not an avid Christian or anything, but I really like that channel. I don't have to worry about any rap songs dealing with gangstas and that sort of thing.

I think I would shoot my radio if I woke up to the sound of Sexy Back. I don't wanna hear that first thing in the morning.

Anyway, to wake me up, it'd have to be pretty loud, like say...

something from Nightwish... or the transiberian orchestra... maybe even Underoath...
