Just wanted to post some random exercise ideas for people who don't have time for a full regimen/circuit. Please post your tips, too!
1. 10 countertop pushups every time you go to the bathroom. 2. 10 countertop/regular pushups before every meal. 3. Tap your feet! 4. Clench your abs/butt for 10 secs at a time randomly throughout the day. 5. Use the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. 6. Hold your arms out straight to the side for 20-30 seconds. Then, without putting them down, clench your fists for 10 seconds. 7. 10 leg lifts or crunches during commercials while you watch TV. 8. Squats in the shower. 9. During commercials while watching TV, jump in place with an imaginary jumprope (or real, if you've got one!). 10. Just move your body! Random things like bobbing your head to music, bouncing your legs, etc all burn calories, and every calorie counts.

When I'm at work I'll bring a magazine in the back and spontaneously do lunges while I flip through the pages. And counter top pushups are great, I lack the muscle strength to do full ones, so they're a good transition. Plus, it keeps my clothes clean. Try deliberately parking further away from the store, or bending your arms and tensing your muscles when you're carrying in groceries rather than just letting the weight hang there. (At least I think that helps! It's almost as if carrying weights that way.)
I've always wondered this, and it seems to be in relation to number four, does clenching your stomach muscles actually help at all? I do it occasionally figuring it's kind of like crunches, but I've always wondered if it was a waste of effort. xD

I do those standing up crunches where you have your arm up and push your elbow and knee together, while brushing my teeth. 20 on each side, then 10 squats, so I am brushing my teeth for a good amount of time, and working out. haha XD

Do they have a name or do you have a picture showing what it is? I'm having a hard time visualizing it. xD

Well, I don't know what I'm going to do on my workouts. I'm starting at the gym on the 12th.

Laroka Well, I don't know what I'm going to do on my workouts. I'm starting at the gym on the 12th. Well, if you're going to the gym, I definitely recommend the elliptical for cardio. It's low impact, unlike treadmills, so they don't hurt your knees as much. Also, if you don't know how to use a machine, ask the gym employees - it's their job to show you. Also, it's common courtesy to wipe down the machines when you're done to get rid of the sweat. If you're sick at all, wipe them down with sanitizer wipes as well.
