I do not want to go.
Janga didn't even look up at the comment, busy untying her boots. The walk to the bathing pools was a short one, and once she was in she wouldn't feel the wind's bite on her bare skin. Her socks followed the boots, joining them just out of reach of the water. The bluerider wasn't about to start putting things away neatly, even if she was a dragonrider now. Besides, it wasn't like anyone was going to touch her stuff. They knew better than that.
"C'mon." Casting her blue a look as she rolled up her pant legs, the girl dared her companion to challenge her. Bathing was an important part of their daily routine, and she wasn't going to screw up their schedule because Jounoth had suddenly decided there were too many people. Who cared? Nobody would come near them no matter what he thought. Janga made sure to grab her bucket of bathing sands and a scrub brush before poking the blue with the end of it. "We're going. Hurry up."
There will be people. I do not like people. People are not nice. Had he been able to, Jounoth would have snapped his jaws. As it stood, his muzzle remained tightly in place, barely giving him enough room to curl a lip. Despite his complaining, however, the dragon followed his rider, slinking along beside her like an over-grown mutt.
The feel of the water tinged his eyes green and for a moment he tucked his wings against his body and relaxed.
"Told you you'd like it," Janga said gruffly as she started to scrub his hide. Jounoth said nothing.

Redfith's eyes swirled a serene green-blue as she watched Zia wade into the bathing pool. Bath time was one of the green's favorite times, who was she kidding? Every time of the day was her favorite! Redfith rumbled happily and tried her best not to trip her rider.
"Oough, careful, Redfith," Zia teased as the green bumped into her, "Are you hoping to drown me?"
No, not at all, Mine, the green replied quickly, I am just happy.
"You are always happy," Zia mumbled back. So are you.
Oh, Mine, look over there! Jounoth. We should say hello. It would be a nice thing to do. Zia looked over slowly, the blue made her feel slightly uncomfortable, if Redfith wanted to say hello she wasn't going to object.
"Greetings, Janga," Zia waved her scrub brush in the air energetically.

Janga looked up when her name was called, shielding her eyes with one hand so she could get a better look at who was speaking to her. Well well well, if it wasn't Zia and her green. What was her name again? Red something. Redfith? Yeah that sounded right. Despite the fact that she could barely remember the girl's dragon's name, Zia was a Weyrbrat she could tolerate, which meant she wasn't someone Janga was going to ignore in favour of Jounoth.
"Mornin'. Is it bathing time for you as well?" Judging by her scrub brush it was a bit of a rhetorical question, but the girl wasn't exactly the best at small talk. Add that on to the fact that she wasn't so great at multitasking either, and Janga made a very poor conversation partner. Still, she was trying, which was more than usual on her part. Clearly she was in a good mood.
The blue grumbled under his breath and made sure to plant himself between the approaching greenrider and his own rider. Redfith, however, was one of the few greens he could actually tolerate, and so aside from the protective gesture he made no other moves towards his clutchmate. He did, however, acknowledge her and her rider with a, ZiaRedfith.

Hello, Jounoth, doesn't the water feel lovely? Redfith spoke cheerfully, oblivious to the fact that perhaps her rider was uncomfortable or that the blue might not be completely friendly to her. Jounoth had never done anything to her, therefore he was a perfectly decent and wonderful blue.
"Yes, bath time," Zia said trying not to look uneasy as Jounoth moved between them, "Seems like they grow larger everyday, doesn't it? Just more to scrub! Redfith is nothing like my little firelizard, Bark." The greenrider loved to talk, "N-not that I ever thought that a dragon would be like a firelizard, they just look a lot a like."
Redfith moved through the water toward Jounoth and Janga moving at the slow pace her rider set.
"Does the muzzle hurt him?" Zia blurted out before thinking and she quickly felt very childish look down at the brush in her hands.

Jounoth blinked slowly as he was addressed, trying to understand what Redfith was talking about. Finally, he settled on, The water is nice, ZiaRedfith. And the scrubbing. Yours is scrubbing well? His question seemed to even confuse him, if the tone of his voice was any indication. He wasn't used to this conversation thing.
Like a firelizard? Hah. Her blue was more like an overgrown wher, though she could see how Redfith could be an overgrown firelizard. It was all a matter of perspective, she supposed. Janga grunted her acknowledgement, scrubbing away at the side of Jounoth that she could reach. She would worry about his other half later. "Yeah. Before we know it, they'll be big as the adults and we'll be flyin'. You looking forward to that?" Even though she and Jou could never fly in a wing, Janga couldn't say she wasn't looking forward to flying.
The question about his muzzle surprised her, and the girl's brows furrowed. "Hurt him? This? Naw." She flicked the metal, causing it to ding softly. "Not unless he tries to break it, but he knows better than that, don’tcha?"
