They have interesting compositions. I like the vibrant colors in both.
The goat(?) eye is very realistic. Did you reference it from a picture?
The people's anatomy isn't great but it's passable. The yellow girl's block color hair clashes with the realistic goat hair a bit as well. Next time reference a real person's hair and it will turn out more realistic.
What media did you use? Pastels?
Hope to see more.

I agree with Lierne about the picture of the goat. And use more references for people. I loved the eye.

Thanks for the advice. These pictures are the results of my experimentations with colored pencils. I know that I still have a long way to go, but these are much better than work I've done in the past. The 'horself' (goatelf, whatever you want to call it) is my first successful profile view, as well as my first attempt with yellow as a skin tone. I'll definately start observing real hair to reference in my drawings to replace the cartoonish style I have now...And yes, I did use a reference picture for the eye... Part of the difficulty I had with the purple farie is that my pencils were dull, and any time I tried to sharpen them the nibs just came off. I ended up trying to color with just the nibs...which can be quite aggravating. stare My sister gave me some advice after seeing these as well...she uses this same brand of pencil...which seems quite usefull, but I'm still having trouble incorporating it into my work.
