Kirara smiled, a feeling of warmth stowing over her as her once-kit buried her face against her, as she had done when she was smaller. "Oh, my dear... I would not have missed it, had I the opportunity to remove myself from that place."

Her ears twitched slightly as the penguin got up, and she grinned slightly. "But, I'm glad you're all well..?" Considering the bird-prey would not bother them, her ears swivelled forwards, catching the sounds of new voices outside. Lacing her fingers between her daughters with a content exhale, she stepped outside with her. Wildfire eyes looked critically at the Spartan and two kits...but not without warmth. This was her Koyuki's family, after all...but the thing that didn't sit well with her was the cigarette in the male's mouth. She frowned, glancing at the kits before her expression softened at the yowl from the little boy.

"My-Koyuki...they're beautiful." She intoned, tails swaying. And then she grinned again, a catty quirk of her lips. "And your mate doesn't look to be hard on the eyes, either."

Carefully giving each of the parents a questioning look, seeking permission despite being Koyuki's mother in all but blood, she stepped lightly over to the duo wrapped in their fathers tail and crouched slightly.

"Now now. I'm certainly no monster, little ones. I would not hurt you for the world." They were too cute. She smiled at them, but was careful not to overdo it and show her fangs off. The last thing she wanted to do was scare the poor things. "Can you guess who I might be? Has your mother told you about me..?"

Smiling warmly, the vixen nodded as she knew Kirara didn't need her permission to see her grandkits...yet it still warmed her that she was so enthusiastic to get the chance to finally meet them. Walking back to Jerome's side she sat upwind of the smoke; keeping her distance from what had happened last time she tried to mess with the stick fresh in her mind. This however didn't stop her from curling her tail around his hips and placing a paw affectionately on his leg.

"Arigatou Okaasan....This is my...my Mate, Jerome." The Geisha found herself blushing as she spoke it, still wondering if she'd wake up to find it had just been a wonderful dream. Alas, she looked to her two precious kids and chuckled at poor Bryyo, wondering what Nariko had done now to him. "Jerome, this is my mother, Kirara. Likewise...these are our kits, Nariko and Bryyo. Say hello to your grandmother, you two."

Indeed she felt a little bad, getting used to parenthood she didn't have the time nor the memory to remind them they had relatives....in a way. Even if they were adoptive to them, they were all she knew and needed.

Nariko blinked and tilted her head, not knowing who the vixen before them was. However when she was enlightened that this two tailed female was grandma, Nariko perked up. "Grandma? We have a grandma!" Beaming ear to ear she giggled and reached out a small paw to touch her face. "So you're Momma's mom? Wow! .....why don't we have two tails?" Confused but entranced by the twin appendages, the kit looked to her brother and poked him with her hind foot. "Oh come on Bryyo, stop being a pansy!"

Jerome blinked curiously. He was very unprepared for the whole situation, and now finding he basically had a mother-in-law was even more hard to swallow. He glanced over at the vixen next to him, then back at the two tailed fox before him. Politeness took over and he casually offered an armored paw. "A pleasure miss...uh" he tried to think of the name his mate had just spoken, but he failed to grasp it when she introduced the two

Raising an ear and taking his paws from his face, Bryyo cautiously raised his head. "I don't understand. Why didn't daddy tell us before?" he was as lost as his sister, but more than willing to go and greet this new family member

. o O ( ;aksjdf I'm sorry. I'm late, to the extreme. )

The nekomata's attention was drawn briefly towards Jerome as he stumbled on her name. She couldn't blame him, exactly, and let the slip-up slide, supplementing his memory with her name.

"I am Kirara, Jerome." A brief smile was offered as she shook his paw, and as an afterthought, enveloped him in a quick hug before her ears twitched and she looked back at the kits. Her eyes lit up in delight at the small paw reaching up and crouched, obliging to let her granddaughter touch her face. She gave a slight smile at the questions, deliberating how to best approach it.

"I'm not your mother's real mother, little konekos, but I love her - and the both of you - very much, nevertheless." She turned to Bryyo afterwards and hunkered down further, stretching out with a sigh on the warm grass. "...I would guess because your father didn't know about me..? I have been rather busy, and I've been kept away from my family for a long while, now. Does that make sense..?"

A half hearted chuckle rose from the vixen's throat as she leaned against her mate, watching the brief introduction between the adults before her Okaasan decided to lay down with the kits. It warmed her heart to watch them, and for a moment she wondered if she had any grandparents of her own; yet from learning her okaasan's age she figured it might not be in her favor to ask.

"Kirara adopted me when I was just a bowl and soul....I also have an adopted brother; who would be your uncle. Although it doesn't feel like adoption since she has been and will always be my mother." She explained to her family, shooting her mother a warm glance. Life just seemed so....perfect.

Nariko perked her ears and absorbed all the information given to her, completely ignoring the whole adoption bit since if neither of them cared for their lack of blood relations then neither would she. Without restraint she crawled onto Kirara's back and felt her for with her paws, noticing how thick it was and soft. "You look a lot like Mommy, actually. I'm sure no one would have really noticed except for the tails huh..?"

Jerome nodded in greeting and shook the odd femme's paw sternly. He had to fight every urge to salute, even though he was not amongst the military in anyway. He remained silent while he look at his two children racing towards this new addition to the family and he only envied them. Listening to his beautiful mate speak further of the two tailed vixen only made Jerome drift in and out of words as he thought about the thing he remembered most. Dr. Halsey. Although he may have been young when he met her, she was the only form of parental influence he ever had.

He remained stoic and ridged as he seemingly lost his thoughts as he helmet reflected the happily quadruple. He didn't feel too left out, but he also didn't feel like he belonged too much either. Probably just because you are a Spartan, old boy he thought commandingly to himself

The young fox didn't catch a word. He was to busy watching the flickering tails and wondering which of the two should he focus on. Being a boy, and boys will be boys, he suck around behind his grandmother and like a little kitten batted and pounced at which ever one got closest to him

Kirara chuckled sofly, lowering her chin to the backs of her paws with a rumbling purr. The pounce and batting paws at her tail might have surprised her if she hadn't been keeping tabs on little Bryyo using her ears, and the weight of her granddaughter on her back was comforting.

"Hnn..? Yes, that would be close enough to the truth, My-Nariko." She mumbled, ears swept back to catch any sounds from both of them.

And with the light of the devil in her eyes, she twitched her tails faster still, batting one towards Bryyo, then away, and snaking the other closer. It had been a long time since she'd had so many little ones to play with. Koyuki had been the perfect reintroduction to...to a family. A smile curled her lips, and she lifted her head to look back at Jerome and Koyuki...and gave them both the bright, but quiet smile that had been building up within her.

Family.

She hoped she'd be strong enough to--giving herself a mental shake to fling the thoughts away, she drew in a slow breath. And relaxed.

Watching her mother and her children play like old friends brough a warmth to her heart she never knew she'd have. It was bliss, but something nagged at her heart when she'd glanced back to Jerome and noticed the far off expression he held on his face. It was concerning to say the least, since she could sense it even though his face was concealed by his helmet. Jerome....you can't fool me. She thought and stood, striding to her mother's side and crouched down.

"Okaasan...I really hate to ask this of you when we're just reunitied; but can I ask of you to watch over Bryyo and Nariko for a while? I would like to spend some time with Jerome...." The concern on her face she just couldn't shake and would be an obvious beacon to her mother; Kirara always knew her so well even as a bowl.

"You're going, Mama?" Nariko looked a little saddened that they would be parting even though they all just arrived...but as much as she wanted to spend time with her father; Grandma was new and exotic and she figured one afternoon wouldn't hurt anyone. "Come back soon okay Momma! Grandma, can we go somewhere neat! And be explorers or something!" The little kit beamed, looking back to Bryyo with a smirk. "Bryyo can be the pack donkey!" She giggled, and leaped off Kirara to try and climb up on Bryyo's back.

Snapped out of his reality by his mates words, his head jolted over. He knew well that she could sense his thoughts as she was surprisingly good at it despite how much it scarred him. He stood in trying to be formal and waited for an opportune moment to bid a farewell. In the back of his mind he wondered what Koyuki wanted again. At least to the point in sending the kids away.

Bryyo wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention to what was going on until he heard something about a pack mule. "WHAT!! Momma! I dun wanna be a pack mule!!" He whined as he booted his sister off and flared his ears at her. He reluctantly stood and stuck his tongue out at his sister as he waited for his grandmother to move off
