Life's Story: Raymond was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, California. As a young child and teenager his father took him out a lot, showing him the surrounding area. Being a park ranger for the numerous lakes around the area, he knew where the best places to camp and hike. Through this Raymond learned to appreciate nature. His mother encouraged him to also take up other things too as she didn't want her son to become some sort of tree hugger. Raymond learned how to handle pole weapons from a man his father introduced him to. The man's name was Carl and he was very old and at first he and Ray didn't get along but after Ray saw him practicing with a staff one day he got excited and curious. He and the old man became great friends and the old man taught him how to handle a staff and other pole-arms as well as some marital arts. When Ray turned thirteen, the old man asked Ray's parents if he could take Ray away and send him to a prestigious school that wanted students that were smart yet knew how to fight. Ray's parents let him go and before Ray knew it he was at Shibusen. The old man turned out to be an old teacher there who had been invited to return.Carl had been a technician in his younger days but left to look for new students.
He and Ray are still very good friends and have a lax teacher-student relationship. He has been working on teaching Ray how to focus his soulwavelength into his martial arts he has taught him for a little over a year but Ray has a while to go before he masters it fully.

Life's Story:Miranda grew up in San Diego with her father, mother, and aunt. She knew from a very young age that she was a demon-killing weapon and was trained to become an effective fighter. She is very good fighting on her own through partial transformations and being used by her parents. She learned that because she has different weapon forms, she has different soul resonances with each, some stronger than others. Some of her forms are harder on her though than others. Her naginata form is the weakest, followed by the trident, and her most powerful is the double tipped spear. She was trained well by her aunt, another weapon. Her mother trained with her as a techinician. She was an amazing technician in her good days at Shibusen so she was well suited to train her daughter. Miranda was called to Shibusen on her aunt's request to become Ray's weapon and she accepted wtihout complaint.
