Syx was lying by a tree, taking a nice peaceful nap. The trickle of water of a nearby lake soothed her and she sighed in content. Her daughters were out there somewhere...knowing the two would lvoe to just run around. Come to think of it, where were they? "Isko? Idae?" She called, glancing at the area around her.

Isko grinned as she flattened herself to the ground. It was hard for her to hide, but she never gave up trying. She would sneak up on her mum for good one of these days and today would be it. Smirk twisted upon her maw, she wriggled her butt in the air, ready to spring. Idae sighed as she watched her sister. She stuck out like a sore thumb. Facepawing, she waited, watching to see what her sister would do. Idae was much different from her sister, shy, quite, cute and innocent. She hardly ever got into trouble and if she did, her cute smile would always get her out of it. This time however, she decided to let Isko get in trouble all on her own.

Blinking, Syx rose to a sitting position, still glancing around to see if she could find her daughters. "Isko! Idae!" She sighed and got up and padded towards the lake. She did not know that her daughters were behind her, and did not know that Isko was up to no good again. Batting water into her face, she shook her head to rid of the excess water before turning back. Only to find a colourful butt sticking into the air.

Isko charged the moment her mom turned around, sending them both into the freezing cold river. Once the water hit her fur, she shot out of the water again, everything standing on end. "COLD COLD COLD COLD COLD!" she shouted as she flung herself back up onto the bank.
Idae couldn't help but giggle as she pressed a webbed paw to her mouth. "Your a water lion sis... your supposed to like it." she grinned innocently.
Spraying Idae with water, Isko gave her a warning glare. "What... evar. Its cold!"

Syx did not know what hit her when she met the water when she was hit by a colourful body. The only thing she worried about was her daughter. Swimming to the surface, she could help but grin as Isko screamed at the top of her lungs. The water was cold, but she enjoyed the water against her fur. Gliding back to the shore with her tail, she padded to the two bickering children and smiled, shaking her fur to rid of excess water. Her eyes narrowed after a while and she wrapped a wing over Isko. "My dear Isko... look at you.." She licked her daughter's wet fur slightly to help her warm up.

Idae continued giggling as her mom shook her fur all over herself. Smiling, she shut her eyes. "Ooh that feels lovely! Lets all go for a swim?" she asked, already getting a head start to pad over to the water.
Isko shook herself, then stopped as her mom draped a wing over her. "Sure, we can swim... but can we find somewhere warmer?" she asked, shaking herself off a second time just to be sure the water was all gone. For a water lion.... cold was not her thing.

"Come here, Isko..." she let her wing up when her daughter shook herself, and draped it over her again, praying that her body heat will warm Isko up. She smiled at Idae and nodded at her question. "Be careful, Idae. Come, Isko...let move away from the bank." Syx smiled and moved away from Isko, padding towards a soft area for her daughter to feel better.

Isko sighed at her sister and rolled her eyes before following after her mother, head low, tail slashing the air.
Idae sighed. "But I want to swim mother!" she said, putting on her begging face as she whispered the entire way, trying to get things to go her way as usual. "Its not my fault Isko can't take the cold!" she brooded quietly.

Patting Isko with her wing, she turned to Idae and smiled. "Only for a while, Idae... but be careful alright?" Syx nodded and turned back to Isko, using her wing to pull Isko closer to her to keep her warm. Nuzzling her daughter's face, she gestured to a sunny spot and smiled at her.
