She said yes. That's all Brannx was focused on. The word replayed in his mind over and over again, as it would for the many years that they shared. His tongue lashed out at her cheek as he licked her, nearly knocking her over with joy. Yes! Yes!
"I'll stay! Thankyouthankyouthankyou! I love you!" He hadn't meant for the kast three words to come out, but they did. So what? Brannx was done with worrying about how she felt. She must have loved him, to allow him to stay.

A melodic laugh escaped her as he licked her muzzle and snout. He loved her! He loved her! And...did she love him? Silently, she told him so, burying her nose in his neck and pawing at his shoulder. He knew. He's known all along.
"We have to get back to the den and explain this to Roo. Beware...he's...energetic." She struggled to find the right words to describe her son. Perfect, was one of them, but Brannx had yet to find that out. With that, they turned to walk back to the dirt den. Their dirt den. Where four kits would be birthed in the near future. Scaring a pup Trouble and Brannx to death.
