Here she was again. Alone. She was a fool to think that anyone might care for her. That b*****d. That lowly conniving b*****d. She was convinced he had moved on already, leaving her to her pain, alone.. and scared with no one to help her. He had been using her. Of course he had been, isn't that what everyone had done? She was worthless, even Jacinthe knew that... though she knew her little mouse would say nothing to the contrary, the little monster was kind... too kind.. in fact she hadn't even said one I told you so, stupid little thing.
An anger was burning bright in Kamaria. An anger that she didn't want to dissipate, because she knew when it did she'd be crying again. Again. She was tired of crying. She was tired of letting that b*****d get to her. So she would hold onto her anger with a vice grip, because she was afraid of the weakness underneath of it all...

With each painful step, the once great and mighty ruler of a vast and plentiful pride now found himself wasting the days away as his bod decayed and yet he never seemed to die. His wings, or what remained of them, were held neither fold to his body, nor outstretched, but in between, as he often found it difficult to move them at times, this only adding to his pent up anger of course. A snarl was plastered over his maw as he scoffed and scored the ground with each paw step. He had been a great leader once! Had a pride he was proud of, and yet here he was, crowned the "Decaying Leader" by that cursed witch, with no one to rule. How he longed for someone to rule, for another pride to lead to greatness and victory.... another pride to show his power too and to have them conform to his every whim. But he would first need a lioness... not particularly a mate, but one he could control... and one that would not only help him start his pride a new, albeit a twisted one, but also give into him and grant him a few heirs.... yes that wouldn't be so bad would it?
And low and behold, what does he see before him? A lioness, alone and looking quite broken - emotionally at least. Smirking a twisted smirk, he slowly padded up to her, his eyes gazing down upon her, his posture still very regal and mighty. "And just what do we have here, hmm?" his rough, deep and almost decaying voice hissed.

Hearing the voice caused her to instantly jump. With widened eyes, she turned and looked over to expect to see him... but it wasn't him, it was a different male. A strange... male. He smelled, he smelled like rot. The stench was horrible but Kamaria tried her best to not plug her nose, she didn't want to completely offend him... Still, what was he doing here? "Me?" She asked, her eyes narrowing, "What about you? Where the hell did you come from?" She swallowed hard, trying her best to keep up her front, to keep her anger there.
The mouse who followed her let out a squeak, hiding behind her mistress' paw. She didn't like this male anymore than she liked the last. What was Kamaria doing?

Kuoza raised a brow, or well his only brow. The other side of his face was nothing but skull, save for a few bits of remaining flesh that dangled off his jaw line, and a sunken red eye. Narrowing his eye once more, since only one remained in its socket, the other dangling at his cheek, he let out a hoarse and deep growl. "I do believe I asked you first, and when I speak, I demand answers." he said, sinking his claws into the dirt. "And perhaps, if I'm satisfied with your answers, I will in turn, grant you with answers of my own." he hissed, his tail lashing, accompanied by the eery sound of bone snapping against bone.

Kamaria's eyes widened at his command, suddenly snapping at attention. "I'm... I'm Kamaria." She stated. No one had talked to her in that tone in a very long time... not even he talked to her that way. "I am no one Milord... nothing but a wanderer, tossed alone carelessly. Nothing else matters." Swallowing hard, she tried to look him in the eyes but was immediately disturbed by the lack of eyes that remained in their sockets...
"Mari... what are..." Jacinthe began to ask, tugging on Kamaria's leg until her eyes also met the male's disturbing ones, at that the little mouse immediately shut up. She liked this male less... a lot less...

Kuoza mulled over her name. "Kamaria....hmm." he repeated it a few times. If it were something tangible, he may have rolled it across his lips, over and under his tongue, tasting it, feeling it. Smirking, he found himself absolutely loving her response. It was so.... so perfect. "Kamaria... you are no one." he said, repeating her, though it sounded more as if he was reiterating the statement to her, like he wanted her to continue to believe that.
Sitting down upon his haunches, the slippery and ripping sounds of muscles contracting and skin shredding could be heard. Raising a paw to inspect it in a cocky manner, he flexed his claws in and out several times. "If you must know, my name is Kuoza Kiongozi.... but you may... no will call me M'lord." he smirked. "I quite like the sound of that... so much regal and quicker to say then your highness." he mused to himself, almost forgetting she was there until he slammed his paw down hard into the dirt just to see if he could scare the little mouse further. "You are wise to never raise your eyes to your leader." his deep voice bellowed, and he grinned again. She would be perfect, he had decided... so long as she kept up this attitude.

Kamaria went to open her mouth but thought better of it. She sighed, turning her head to look away from him. She didn't want to be this male's slave, she wanted to be loved. Sure, being dominated had its perks and she loved it, but at the same time... she could tell this male wanted nothing more than to use her. At least he was more forthright about it than the other one had been, at least it was something staring her right in the face. She wasn't sure if she liked it. "Your name is Kouza... I think I will call you by your name until you earn the right for me to call you my lord." Her eyes snapped back to his attention.
When she said this, the mouse at her side smiled and seemed unphased by the male's attempt to scare her. Good girl... She thought to herself.

Kuoza snarled, digging his claws into the ground. This wasn't how she was supposed to react. How would she expect to find herself as his queen if she acted that way. All the anger and fury bubbled up inside him and his first instincts was the claw her across the face, however he couldn't ruin it now... not so soon. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he remained composed. "Very well, if that is how its to be." he said, standing once more and taking a few steps towards her, gently lifting her face with his paw to gaze into her eyes. "Though I'd advise you not to get to used to it. Weather I have to 'earn' it or not..." he paused, nearly spitting out the word earn, "I will have you address me properly in time." he smiled.... an almost eery, too cheery smile. If anything, she was beautiful... but a mate was the last thing on his mind. Not until he had rebuilt his pride....maybe then his tormented soul could find some twisted way to love another.

As Kamaria's face was turned toward his, she looked at his good eye, her chin raising. "I never said I would get use to it. But I will not be made your slave either. I have a name, and I am a lion just as much as you are, rather your rank is higher than mine or not." She spoke this out of term for she held relatively little knowledge of rather he was of a higher rank than she was or not. Regardless, if he was, he was the ruler of something that certainly wasn't her kind. She moved her body to a sitting position, her head held high as she looked at him, not in defiance as one might have guessed, but rather as if a small part of her felt as if she actually did have value somewhere deep inside her. She didn't mind the male, and she could easily see herself becoming his subservient, but she did not like the way he spoke to her.

Kuoza, surprisingly, smirked. He hadn't figured this to be easy, nor did he want it to be. A challenge was always enjoyable. With a gentle shake of his head to ruffle his mane, he let out a low chuckle. "I doubt your even remotely close to what I am." he said with disdain as he looked down to his paws and the black runes that covered his body. What was left of the kind leader silently thanked that she wasn't like him. Wasn't cursed to wander the land rotting and watching everything you ever cared for die. Thats why in his mind, he must care for nothing, less he wish to sentence it do death. However, his desire for more power was great... and he had made up his mind to seek it through her. "Kamaria.... you are brave. A strong trait to be proud of.... I wish to learn more about you. I think you may be just the one to help me." he spoke, despite the fact that his tone was no different then before, he was just ever so slightly hopeful just then.

It may have come as a surprise just then that it was not Kamaria who spoke, but instead the small mouse peered her head around the lioness' leg, eyes narrowing at the male, "No." She stated in a voice that at that moment oddly mimicked the tone of Kamaria's. "I very much doubt you are anything like me." After the statement was said, the mouse moved her head back and a strange haze seemed to lift from Kamaria's eyes.
Kamaria seemed rather unaware that it had happened at all. Her movements went on the same as if it was only a small pause on a movie. She let out a small huff, "I very much doubt I'd be of any use to you. At least not for helping. I can't even save myself." A heavy sigh left her mouth. "But I suppose that doesn't mean I can't try... or at least hear what you have to say on the matter." Her head then turned back toward him in an expectant manner.

Kuoza mused to himself for a moment. She couldn't save herself, and he couldn't save himself from this torment. Perhaps they weren't that different after all.... but he wasn't about to appear weak to her. He wouldn't let himself be tricked again. Taking a deep breath, he eyed the mouse, clearly already having taken a disliking to it, before glancing back into her eyes. "A pride. I was once the great ruler of a pride before it was ruthlessly ripped from my paws... everything was taken from me. My mate, my cubs, and my pride." he eyed her coldly. "I desire my pride back and that is where you come in. I believe you may just be the one to help me start it anew." he paused, digging his claws into the ground as puss and ooze seeped out of his paws. He flicked his paw, gave it a lick and set it back down. "Wouldn't you like to be a queen, M'dear?"

Hearing what he said caused Kamaria to feel slightly sorry for him. Her eyes turned, thinking to herself until he caught her off guard with her question. "Queen?" She stated in shock, her eyes following back to his present position. "You would want me to be your Queen? Why me?" She was now standing, giving him her full attention. Queen... she knew she wasn't worthy of such a title, but the pure sound of it... made her tingle inside.

Kuoza smiled, though his best charming smile he could give. One that had won over so many in his past life, though now it had slightly diminished with his decaying form. "Your quite beautiful my dear, theres no mistaking that. One would be a fool not to see it." he said, his only good eye traveling down the length of her. "Besides.... you claim your nothing.... but I can sense potential in you. I could make you great.... powerful." he said, his voice becoming harsh, raspy and deep at the word powerful. Power... it was everything he desired now. It ran through his veins like blood. He ate, slept and rank it... and all thanks to that witch.

Jacinthe narrowed her eyes as she watched the male from behind Kamaria's leg. She wanted to speak, to tell the male where he should go, but sensing this, Kamaria pushed Jacinthe with a flick of her tail. Jacinthe growled, stuck her tongue out at the male and disappeared behind Kamaria's leg again.
Kamaria... was susceptible, and it was probably quite obvious to this male the extent of her naivety. One or two words about her beauty and she was hooked, looking at the male through rose colored glasses, even though it was quite obvious to any other soul around that he was only going to use her. "Really?" She stepped forward, a light in the smile she now wore. Her demeanor had now completely shifted, she was.. perhaps for the lack of a better word, hooked, despite that every bit of the soul she should have had would have told her to run as far away as she could. Jacinthe tried desperately... but when your soul lived outside of your body, it was much harder to convince the heart of anything. "If you truly believe in me... than perhaps... I could be your queen."
