hard to honestly say who the best guitarist in the world is. I think once you get to a certain point, everyone starts to become an equal to one another. After that it all just comes down to who everyone else thinks is the best. This always seems like such a pointless debate whenever its brought up but its always fun to see what people think. Anyway my list of the top 5 most amazing guitarists(in no particular order)
-Chris Impellitteri
-Michael Romeo
-Yngwie Malmsteen
-Paul Gilbert
-Jason Becker
of course in terms of shear speed, michael angelo pwns everyone regardless of whether or not its just in hand speed like everyone tends to think, when they say hes over rated and blah blah blah.

Its cool to say that you love Dime and everything, buti can honestly say i didnt know who he was before he died. its sad really, because now all the posers got their hands on pantera only because they heard of this guy through his death. its almost lik a Curt Cobain sorta deal- he would have just been another crackhead if he didnt kill himself.
im not hating Dime or anything, but i gotta say ygnwie knows the strings better
