A loud huff came from no particular direction. Well, perhaps no particular direction to a world that held no particular being. Just a male. An odd male whom was colored exactly like the dark heavens that towered above him... For this reason it could have been hard, perhaps, to spot him if one wasn't looking for him. He blended quite well far off, unless you got close enough to notice that the glowing stars were in the wrong place. It didn't bother him though, he liked being alone. It only bothered him when the occasional soul did travel too close to notice he was there...
But Gahlithar tried hard to never let that happen. He had his fair share and he was through. He tried to help. Many times. It was all thesame, weak willed... stupid... pathetic excuses who misunderstood his willingness to help as a sign of hostility. Perhaps... perhaps they were right and he was better off out here under this cold night sky... wishing his life away on a shooting star.

Quietly, the bells chimed in a rhythmic, soothing song as she stepped in tune to the lullaby that was going through her mind. The beat rang from her mind, and seemed to course its way through her body, as she bounced here, then did a little shimmy there. All the while, Cassie was gazing at the sky. It amazed her how vast and beautiful it was, and to think at one time it was just an open, dark canvas, but now it glittered with so many unexplored planets.
Looking closely, she thought she caught some stars that seemed to be . . . moving? That couldn't be though. Stopping the beat and the bells all together, Cassie rubbed her eyes and decided it was a trick of the night and went back to hopping around; the bells jingling the lullaby once more in melodic, but soothing tones.

Gahlithar had set himself up to have a long peaceful night when it began. Ringing. Long... excessive ringing... It was enough to make him want to claw at the rock next to him. He growled, ready to pounce on wherever it was coming from but he stopped. There, merrily going about her way was a female... a brightly colored female... and she was... dancing? He mused, narrowing his eyes but as he did... just as he did she looked straight at him. She looked straight at him and then kept moving! Did she not notice him? Or was she purposely ignoring him?
Considering this, Gahlithar supposed it didn't matter either way, whatever the girl did in her free time was her business after all. But the more he thought about it the more it egged him on... it began to bother him... and eat at the back of his mind. Why did she just pass by him like he hadn't mattered?! Growling to himself, he jumped off his rocky mount, and landed with a graceful thud behind her, like a cat stalking its prey... She couldn't ignore him now, could she?

Cassie nearly jumped out of her skin, as she unsheathed her claws and spun around. The bells jingling turned into a crash of utter . . . Well, out of tune beats. It was more like a symphony gone wrong. But once she saw who it was, Cassie sighed in relief and smiled softly at the male. He didn't seem dangerous, just irritated by the looks of it. "Ah man, you gave me one heck of a scare!!" She then realized he was the one who she had seen. He looked almost invisible against the night sky, she hadn't noticed. "You were the weird looking stars in the sky . . . I thought one area didn't look right. Anyways, I'm Cassiopeia! Who are you?" she asked with a hop of one foot, and a bounce of another. Cassie shook her tail in an even, but quiet tone so the bells seemed to hum, rather than jingle. Most of the time she didn't pick up on others moods, merely because she was a carefree sort and only wanted to make others smile while in her presence.

He sighed. She was bubbly. He hated bubbly, happy sorts. "My name is Gahlithar." He stated swiftly, his eyes shifting over the female quickly. "Its a pleasure meeting you Cassiopeia. What brings you all the way out here?" He questioned. The girl was clearly far from home being all the way out here.. It wasn't that that was much of a problem, but the girl seemed a little hyper to make it out here alone if she wasn't careful.

"Gahlithar it's a pleasure to meet you too," she smiled and bowed. Bringing her head back up to look at him, Cassie considered his question for a moment. What was she doing out here? She really had no idea, but she guessed it was because she wanted some time away from her family. Usually she spent her time with her siblings and sang most of the day, which could get tiring real quick. "I wanted time away from all of the singing me and my siblings do a lot. Man, singing carols morning and night can tire out your vocal chords," she brought a paw to her throat and rubbed it gently. "What're you doing out here?" Cassie asked. She'd never seen anyone else out here before; really she figured no one even lived in a lonely place such as this. To her it was merely a path to take to clear one's mind if they needed to.
