 Happily she pranced around in the warm, sunny field. She wasn't far from the ocean, since her father had taken her with him when he went fishing, but she kept in his sights just in case. Sniffing the salty air, Tanith took a deep breath and sighed dreamily. This had to be one of her favorite spots, especially since the crashing blue waves and warm sand reminded her of her first, best friend.

 Atiniui let out a rather loud yawn. His tail twitched and ended with a tight smack against the surface of the water. A spray of liquid skid across the water and instantly little Ati's eyes shuddered open with a great start, "Ow...." He cried out, musing when the tip of his tail was now turning a bright red. As much as he tried he still couldn't stop himself from sleep-swimming... a rather bad habit when he woke up constantly with new bruises. "Fiddlesticks!" He swore but stopped short when he saw a figure moving up toward the shore. Could it be? But it was! Tanith had come to visit him. With a renewed excitement he instantly paddled his feet in her direction, "Dude! Where'd you come from?!"

Tanith ran around in circles with her eyes closed. Her parents wouldn't allow her to do anything like this, and since her father wasn't paying much attention to her for the moment, she did it. Opening her eyes finally, she plopped over on one side and heard her name called out. Seeing a familiar starfish, her eyes lit up in excitement. "Ati!! Ohhh man! Have I missed seeing you!" Tanith jumped in the air once and bounded to the edge of the water, "My dad's out fishing along the coast, so he lets me run around. Where have you been man!"

"Doing what I always do, just swimming around, enjoying the water and rays." He smirked a bit, wiggling his tail. "Sooo... that's cool. Is your dad a cool guy?" With a jump, he landed on the shoreline beside her, shaking off bits of water that were stuck to his fur. "I mean, its gotta be cool to have a family, right?"

"If I didn't know better, I'd say you practically live in the water!" Tanith giggled and touched one paw to the water as it came back in, before moving out again. "He's the best! He took me and my brother out one time to go hunting!" she giggled again as some of the water landed on her, but Tanith didn't mind it really. It was then that she forgot he didn't have any family and regretted what she had said. "Oh . . . Well they can be a pain sometimes. Like when my brother hogs up our side of the cave, I end up being squished against the wall," Tanith glanced around before looking back to Ati. Then an idea popped into her head, "I know!! Why don't you meet my dad! He'd love to meet my best friend! They think I don't have any friends because I stay home a lot."

"Something wrong with that?" Ati tilted his head as his lips turned into a wry smile at the part about him always being in water. "Water is soooo cool, I mean... like you float in it. Its awesome." He chuckled a little at the comment of her brother and rolled onto his back, pawing at her a little. "I'd love to meet your dad! Totally awesome! I bet he's a great guy to have a daughter like you." He stated in a soft blush.
