She padded over to him, suppressing a giggle as she rested her chin on one of his wings. "It's alright. I don't mind walking really...I'd have very good company.." She smiled at him warmly, nosing his cheek in a comforting way. "Don't be upset, I'd still love to go with you...walking may turn out to be more fun than flying hmm?" She then looked around. "Which way is it?"

"That way." He pointed in the direction of the tree he'd been sleeping in. "It's deep in the Forest. If we leave now we probably won't make it before nightfall. We can go but only if your okay with spending a night with me." He tried not to look hopeful as he mentioned the last part.

She took in all that he said, blushing about the last bit. "Well, my sisters are adults and they don't need me around anyway...I don't mind that..." A soft giggle little nervous giggle left her as she started walking in the direction he'd motioned. "We'll be in each other's company for a while. I hope you don't mind."

He couldn't stop the grin and happy little hop when she agreed to his company. "Not at all. Never pretty lady." He walked up beside her then carefully used a wing to wrap around her then tickle her cheek with an end feather. "So long as you keep smiling I think we'll get along just fine." He hopped forward using his wings to make the jump farther. "This way. Follow me."

She blushed when his wing draped around her, but smiled nonetheless, moving closer to stay under it. The tickling made her giggle, letting him know she was indeed ticklish. "I'm right behind you!" She ran to catch up to him, giggling the whole time.

They entered the forest then and he began to lead her. The first few hours were easy walking. There was a clear path and the trees were wide apart. He tried to keep her entertained with jokes, silly antics and small aerial maneuvers. But then they reached a deeper part of the forest and he had to stay close and lead her carefully and slowly. The trees were closer together now and some of them were huge with roots the stuck up far out of the earth. It was beautiful though. The trees were covered with liken and flowering vines. As it began to get dark the nigh blooming flowers opened and oozed their rich inviting smell. He knew they'd have to stop soon but was reluctant to choose a place she wouldn't like.
"Um...Miss Fushia? I'm not sure where we should rest for the night. Would you like to choose?" He reached his head up to sniff at one of the white night bloomers and wait for her answer.
