Please read everything very carefully when beginning a journal here at Legend of Lunaria. While we completely encourage artistic freedom, there are certain rules and guidelines that absolutely have to be followed.

Journal entries can be written one of two ways. Either IC - first person, or a third person narrative about something that has happened recently. You are free to choose one or both ways of adding entries to your journal. IC - first person:Jianyu The Third Day of the Lunar Cycle, MorningIt was dark when I left my room this morning. The hallways of my home seemed to close in on me, making it difficult to breathe, and at first, I was reluctant to leave. The shadows have a way of grabbing onto oneself if they can taste the fear, and I was nearly shaking in my terror. The Academy is a place I have been unsure about for quite some time, but I have made my decision. However, when the moment came to actually attend my first day of classes, I felt like I was walking through water. I have never been all that great at interacting with others, especially ones my own age, and so the thought of having to make friendly with those I would be studying with seemed to paralyze me momentarily. However, I have since recovered from my fear (or at least pushed it back so that it does not make me hesitate) and I will be walking into my first class in mere moments. Third person narrative:Jianyu The Third Day of the Lunar Cycle, MorningThe sky was dark when Jianyu left his small home on the morning of his first day at the Academy. Streaked with purpleish blue clouds and the first rays of sunshine coloring the large oak trees a brilliant orange, the day promised to be bright and warm.
It was a complete opposite of the turmoil that twisted the inside of Jianyu's stomach. He stood at the doorway to his home, looking out at the worn path leading down to the main part of the city. He wasn't sure why he was hesitating so much, why he felt fear coiling in his chest, but he couldn't seem to move his feet forward properly.
Swallowing hard, Jianyu closed his eyes briefly.
Breathe, he thought. Just breathe. It'll be all right.
I've made a promise.
Opening his eyes again, Jianyu gritted his teeth. Setting his jaw, he slung his bag over his shoulder and stepped out onto the pathway.
