Eh i dont know. Thats a good question. I agree with everything yaoifangirl93 said. To get his attention you'd have to have interesting topics to talk about.
Also he'd make a decent father, just look how the kids at wammys love him.
With all that said, he is kind of odd xD and last fact i remember reading, he's a liar. He'd probably suspect you of being kira or something, before he fully trusted you he'd investigate you.... so yeah.
L: Honey im home
Wife: welcome home sweetheart! I ran a bath for you and made you cake!
L: *gets close and personal* Did you bake the cake?!
Wife: um...no its store bought.
L: *happily digs in* Thinks: phew...Better set up cameras in the house next time.
