Heh, when I was younger, and bored as ********, I used to be able to see the aura of my teachers, mostly they were either yellow or green. What would that say about them?

My own, I just checked, for some reason I can automatically unfocus my right eye, but I am a brownish black. Is that bad?
Well, from my experiences, black absorbs energy (bad aura color) and brown, it can depend on the shade. As an Earthy color, like, let's say, dirt, can represent a love of nature. A yellowish brown can mean a student, or one who is straining at studying; overly analitical to the point of feeling fatigued or stressed; trying to make up for "lost time" by learning everything all at once. A dirty brown overlay can mean blocking energies, or guardedness.
I think the aura colors are kind of intertwined with the chakras, like greens involve the heart chakra, red involves the root chakra, etc.
