Well they are both extremely intelligent, seeing the fact that Light got L killed, you have to give it to Light, however, Light also had the advantage of the shinigamis to take advantage off, if it weren't for them, L would have most likely won, since Light only won by taking advantage of Rem's love for Misa to get rid of L, knocking them both out

I think L is smarter because Light uses his charm and smooth talks his way out of many situations, while L uses only logic and straightforward analysis to solve his problems

I'd say both for total different reasons....
Light-for school i guess and somewhat thinking smart of who to kill.
L-well he's solved so many mysteries on his own.... and just in general smart! and much cooler! xD

I'd say both because:
Light- because he was able to avoid L for so long and how well he manipulates people (even if he is annoying)
L- because he's been able to solve all those cases and because he probably would of won had it not been for Rem.

I would say Near, but I dont like Near that much (go Mello) so then I would have to be L. Because L , unlike Light;
1. Realizes he's over-confindent
2. Got into Wammy House
3. Studies to much to care about apperances
4. People want to be like him; Mello, Near, BB
5. He defeated Light after he died
(6. And althought he was probably a virgin when he met Light, he was still the seme) This doesn't have anything to do with it but he did make Light bow down to him
