I did a couple updates. Okay, I like it so far. The only problems is, I'm terrified by color. I always make my pages too blue. I want to break it up a bit as well. I can't decide if I like the state logo push to the left enough that it hangs over the border or not. I am going to put some sort of subtle pattern in the background, not quite sure what yet.

I wanted to make the logo faded but the professor lady complained rolleyes

I don't know if it is because of the deadline or if she does actually like it, but she is going to use my design. It is going to be presented to the board next week so I've got to start moving content soon.
I think the logo looks better more like this:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Although I guess thats up to you.

A few other things: if you're using a sans serif font for the main text, using a serif font for headings will make them stand out more. Garamond and Georgia are the best serif fonts in my opinion (not sure about the spelling though).

The background doesn't extend all the way to the bottom in Mozilla. If you take out the height rule altogether it works though (damn I love this extension that lets me edit CSS!).

The fill on the buttons when you hover over them still looks purple to me sweatdrop Also the two side borders seem a bit strange... especially as the buttons are so far apart.

It doesn't validate, possibly because it doesn't have a doctype tag in there somewhere. Its not really necessary (Gaia Online doesn't validate stare ) , but being a site for an educational institution, I think it would be a good idea. And don't forget to put alt tags on all your images; they're important for blind people using speaking browsers.

Lastly, I'd put the whole 'Idaho Association for Bilingual Education' in the title tag instead of just the acronym, because search engines really look at title tags, so the more descriptive, the better 3nodding

I glad she picked your design! The other one was painful to look at stressed
