Lee is pretty calm and serious most of the time. He is kind and understanding with everyone whether they are in his Squad or not. He is very protective over his Squad and Soul Society. He is peaceful by nature, but that doesn't mean he won't fight if he has to. When in battle he often times tries to avoid giving a death blow unless he feels he has to. He follows orders, but not blindly and will stand up for what he believes in. He believes heavily in honor and will not interfere in a battle most of the time.
Bio:
Lee was born in soul society in one of the middle districts so life wasn't extremely tough for him really. His mother was sickly and his father absent from his life but they were happy. He made a habit of hanging out with the local bullies so as to avoid being bullied himself though he never participated in any bullying. There were often times that like the others in the group he would be disliked by the bullied simply because he watched it happen. It never really bothered him either until one day his friends were bullying a mute kid that had a somewhat sickly appearance being reminded of his mother Lee intervened. Because he did so he received the bullying instead and after the kids left asked the kid his name. Realizing that the kid was mute and without a family he brought him home to his mother. His mother eventually adopted the kid and named him Yuu.
Lee quickly became protective over his new brother and did his best to fight off the bullies in the area. It didn't take long to discover that he had spiritual powers given his healthy appetite and after he grew a little bit he became more than capable of fighting off the bullies and keeping them away from Yuu. Being found by a Shinigami in those early days of his life lee was over joyed to hear he would be a good candidate for the academy. Deciding to wait until he was older and everything Lee continued with his life. Yuu grew less sickly with time and eventually it almost seemed as if his mother loved him more than Lee. It wasn't true but it appear as such to Lee therefore he grew more distant with his adoptive brother. Leaving for the academy Lee came back every now and then relishing in the sheer number of friends he had in the academy at the time and the fact that he was one of the top students. Halfway through his time in the academy his mother finally passed leaving Lee and Yuu alone.
There was still some bitter resentment on lee's part but for the most part things were back to normal between the two. As Lee drew near the end of his stay in the academy Yuu became infatuated with one of Lee's closest female friends. The girl herself had a thing for Lee who cared nothing for her in that way. However seeing Yuu's attitude towards her Lee's bitterness resurfaced. Therefore as a way to hurt his brother he entered into a relationship with the girl and made sure it was front and center for Yuu. Dating the girl for a few months after awhile Lee grew bored with the charade broke it off with the girl. Having seen the error of his ways Lee went to try and patch things up with his brother. However seeing how Lee had used the girl Yuu grew to hate Lee during the relationship therefore when it ended Yuu confronted Lee.
Wanting to hear nothing about how sorry Lee was Yuu attacked him with an unnamed zanpakuto. Reacting on instincts given his academy training Lee held out his own in front of him defensively. Closing his eyes it became apparent very quickly that there was no pain anywhere on his body. Opening his eyes Lee was horrified to see Yuu impaled on his zanpakuto with eyes wide open in shock. In the final moments before Yuu passed Lee apologized profusely but even in then Yuu refused to hear it. As such his brother passed on hating Lee and left Lee where he was in despair. Going through the next several years in his despair Lee's mind created a separate time line of things to help deal. In the time line Yuu instead left after his mother's death and he hadn't been seen since. Achieving Shikai Namihime quickly allowed him to keep his separate time line and allowed him to continue searching in vain for Yuu to stop him from falling to despair again.
Entering into the Kidō Corps upon graduation Lee moved through the ranks quickly taking the position of Kidō Corps Commander and Grand Kidō Chief. After many years of holding the position the previous Captain of Division Five was no longer in the picture for some reason or another. During that time Lee approached Tomomi with a proposal to take the position and merge it with the Kidō Corps much in the same manner as the Second Division and the Onmitsukidō. Getting the approval Lee merged them together and became Captain of the Fifth Division which was previously simply archiving. It was at that time that Nu was his Lieutenant and it remained that way for some time.
Then around one year ago Nu was promoted and his third seat Eriko was made his new Lieutenant. That didn't last long however and with the disappearance of Tomomi and the Exaequare Yuki took over as Captain Commander and Eriko was promoted. After the battle with Caelum Lee dedicated himself to developing more of his own style of fighting. He also found time to create new kidō barriers and shared his discovery with Yuki. During the year he also developed a closer bond with Eriko and perhaps something that could be considered a relationship though nothing is set in stone at the moment. Lee also spent some time talking with his new Lieutenant occasionally though he certainly isn't as close to her as he is to his previous Lieutenant's.

Usual Clothing:
Lee wears the usual Shinigami uniform. His Captain's haori is long sleeved so that it hides his shinigami uniform and comes to his hands and past them at times. Thought it does not affect him when in battle. He wears black bracers and the rings in this pic. Recently he had some of his everyday items modified.
Black Bracers - After requesting that his bracers be modified there was a thin and lightweight yet strong piece of metal placed inside between the fabric. The result is a durable version of his bracers that assists him in combat allowing him to block some metal objects completely. They also assist in making his strikes more effective if used in hakuda. The metal is also slightly flexible allowing some strikes blocked to simply slide off as they didn't get a solid connection. He also had them craft something similar for shin guards allowing his kicks to deal more damage while protecting them to a certain extent. They are made out of the same fabric and metal.
Flame Resistant Shinigami Uniform - Lee had his entire uniform made of Flame retardant material to help him resist fire attacks.

Namihime (波姫, Wave Princess) A standard katana with dark blue tsuka-ito, a matching dark-blue saya, and a small ribbon coming out of the kashira. The tsuba is a full circle, is silver in color and has a flowing water design in it's center. Namihime's primary elemental focus is that of water, but through extension, ice is also included.
- Shikai: It is triggered by the command Sobieru (聳える, to rise) which causes the blade to lengthen to 2 feet, 3 inches.
- Shikai Special Ability: Namihime's Shikai grants Lee certain aspects over the control of water, specifically generating it from his Zanpakutō or his own body. +10 to pressure and hierro
- Ametsumari (雨詰まり, rain blockade)
By taking either pointer finger and pointing it to the sky and then flicking it to point at the target, a large surge of water falls from the sky to crush the target. The surge itself is quite wide in diameter and is thus hard to escape.
Kaikō Shindō (海溝 震動, deep impact) [ironically, those Kanji can also be translated as ocean trench tremor]
By striking his opponent with an open palm, a surge of water is shot out of his palm much like a piston, hitting the opponent with 300 pounds of force.
Mizumi (水剣, water blade)
This technique alters Namihime's blade into water that uses rapidly moving water molecules to increase cutting power for Lee's swordsmanship.

Mizusaki (水先, direction of a current)
When Namihime is swung a large surge of water is called forth from the swing's path and is fired out once the swing is completed. The water is pressurized enough to topple a Gillian and can demolish a large building with ease.
Suijinheki (水陣壁, water encampment wall)
Water erupts in front of him to create a wall of water used to block attacks. This technique can also be directed beneath the opponent erupt underneath the opponent to skewer them from below.

Bankai: Tsunamihime (津波姫, Tidal Wave Princess) Upon release, the blade straightens and lengthens, becoming sharp on both sides. The tsuka curves near the kashira, the tsuka-ito changes into dark blue silk, a long, dark blue tassel extends out of the kashira and the tsuba disappears completely.
- Bankai Special Ability: With Namihime's Bankai, Lee is granted a greater control over the raging force of water and with it, a certain amount of ice control from freezing water molecules. +10 to pressure and hierro
- Water Techniques
- Bōsōmizu (暴走水, rampaging water)
Gathers all the water around into one big wave of water that crashes down on his opponent and him. Because of how destructive it can be he only uses it as a last resort.
Daishio (大潮, the large part of the tide)
This technique is the Mizusaki's origin and it is significantly more powerful. When Namihime is swung a large surge of water is called forth from the swing's path and is fired out once the swing is completed. The water is pressurized enough to blow a Gillian several yards and is capable of reducing a large building to debris.
- Kawatama (川弾, river bullet)
This technique significantly reduces the diameter of Daishio, narrowing it to the size of a dime that allows the attack to punch holes in steel. Instead of swinging Namehime however, Kawatama is fired from Namihime's kissaki.
- Can punch holes through 150 Armor and Hierro.
Mizuni (水煮, boil in water)
This is Namihime's ability to rapidly increase the temperature of water and cause it to boil. At full force, the water will instantly evaporate, but if withheld, the water will go to a rolling boil and be used as a scorching attack. By using this in conjunction with his techniques, he can increase their damage by allowing the water used to scorch the target as well.
Sazanami (細波, ripple)
By twirling in a circle with Namihime extended, Lee can generate highly pressurized waves that shoot out from his body similar to a ripple in a body of water.
Ice Techniques
- Hidō (氷胴, ice body)
While in Bankai the user is able to do a variation of Utsusemi that leaves behind an ice clone after moving retaining their physical appearance for a few seconds. It is used as a distraction, and when struck, will explode and spread ice shards across a medium sized area, that stab into the opponent and create the same effects as Himi.
- Raises Hohō to 120 in the instant it is used.
Himi (氷身, ice blade)
This is used after Namihime's blade has been turned to water by Mizumi. The water blade instantly freezes and should it cut someone, the wound left behind when will instantly numb over due to the temperature generated by the blade. Ice crystals will form as this occurs, hindering movement in that area and in 2 posts, that area will be fully frozen and if not treated properly, the affected area will experience a large case of cell death and be rendered completely useless.
- Can cut through 140 Armor and Hierro.
Reduces Agility by 10 points for each consecutive cut.
Hinami (氷波, ice wave)
After making a fist with either hand, Lee flicks his fingers outward, creating an ethereal white wave that pulsates out from his hand and instantly freezes anything it passes over. Objects frozen become quite brittle and can then be broken with any decent hit.

Hyōketsukan (氷結棺, freezing coffin)
Creates a large sphere of ice around the user and their opponent that makes escape almost impossible. The sphere constantly shoots projectiles of ice shaped like needles at the opponent that simply fuse back with the rest of the ice if it misses, thusly replenishing itself continuously. The projectiles have the same effect as Himi.
- Reduces Agility by 10 points for each consecutive hit.
Kesshōchi (結晶地, crystal earth)
Considered to be Namihime's final form as it will completely drain Lee of his Reiryoku and render him unconscious after use. Kesshōchi creates a 200-square foot area of absolute zero temperatures (−273.15 °C) regardless of any heat sources within the area as the technique will suck the heat from them as well. At such extreme temperatures, events which do not normally occur in nature begin to happen, such as breakdowns on atomic level and super conductivity. Anything within this area will become completely frozen solid and upon uttering the phrase Tatakikowasu (叩き壊す, to shatter) anything trapped inside will break apart and be killed instantly.

- Master Swordsmanship Specialist -- Lee is a master swordsman capable of flawless strikes with pin point accuracy and precision. The strikes tend to be blurred because of his natural agility. The strikes can also be quite lethal because of the speed that carry them and can even bypass his sub par strength using momentum. Capable of using the quick a precise Nadegiri.
Master Shunpo User -- Lee is capable of flawless use of this ability and is able to keep up with most Captains who do not have special techniques to move faster. He is also capable of using the fatal Senka.
Enhanced Durability -- Thanks to Lee's high spiritual energy instead of exerting it as pressure he coats his body in it creating extremely durable skin akin to an Espada's hierro. Lee can often times walk away from a usually lethal attack without any visible damage or just a few bruises or small cuts.
Enhanced Endurance -- Lee is capable of fighting for prolonged periods of time with ease and can keep fighting without being visibly affected with all but the most serious injuries.
Hand-to-Hand Combatant -- Having no specific preference in the style Lee is still capable of making complex attacks all in the blink of an eye. His strikes become blurred when used in rapid succession.
Kidō Grand Master -- Being the Fifth Division Captain he is by far the best at Kidō. He has vast knowledge of Kidō that is great enough he can perform spells without using the incantation at the same amount of power and even change a spell upon use into something different then normal. Using the incantation can nearly double the power. He is capable of using Advanced/Forbidden Kidō. Being a Kidō Grand Master he is capable of forming barriers of varying strength and size. Kidō List
Immense Spiritual Energy -- Being a Captain in the Gotei Thirteen he has immense spiritual energy. The energy is great enough for him to be capable of using Kidō (even high level spells) without any visible difficulty and for prolonged amount of times. His control of his energy is great enough to reduce the amount needed for attacks.
