First thing I thought when I read the blog when it came out was... If this thing had a good amount of roaming range, it would be nice for spying on people. ninja

Not to kill your hopes. It doesn't.
That's because it would be possible to be outside Runescape's diary.
A J-Mod said that it would be enough for your character not to be in the video but not more than enough to go very far from your distance.
Anyways, I am not sure, and this is just a guess, but I think it will be released either next week or two weeks from now, I am guessing next week.

But it would be nice if it did. Because that's what I'd use it for.

Orb of Oculus is iffy-iffy, there are some fixes that are needed such as can move your character with it, the controls are a bit hard (even after a whole lot of time using it), and the crappy movement.
