You guys kinda scare me.... I'm pregnant with my first... I have never ever been on birth control. I honestly thought I was infertile, because with all my previous partners we didn't use anything, but most of them used the "pull-out" method. But even in any of the "screw-ups" I never got pregnant, and I have been sexually active for 5 years now. So I was afraid I couldn't get pregnant, but after me and my husband got married we started trying, and it only took 3 mo. So I guess I was just lucky before. But I keep reading that you guys have all these period issues and cramps because of birth control, and honestly my periods my entire life since I was 10 have been exactly 28 days apart, 4 days long.. with no cramps... only nausea and headaches on bad days. So now I'm scared of birth control.
I can't be on anything with estrogen, because of family history
I can't remember to take the pill...
I want an IUD, but I keep horror stories of cramps...
I have no health insurance, so I want to get something decently permnant while I'm still on medicaid
I am too young for sterlization, I'm only 19... same with my husband....
So is the IUD (with progesterone) a good choice or not?
