Sheep Go to Heaven A song by the early and mid 90s band Cake (most renowned for their song The Distance). The song is basically mocking the Christian idea that only those who fall in line, work hard, and do what they're told without questioning will go to heaven while those who are abstract, unique, and laid-back will go to hell. I'm not sure if the lead singer/song writer for Cake is an atheist but I can say he doesn't like Christianity very much. The song Jesus Wrote a Blank Check is another obvious sign. No the song Satan is My Motor has nothing to do with religion, it's about a well mannered, seemingly calm and obedient person whom, on the inside, is really wild and rebellious. My friend's mom used to love Cake but now she thinks they're devil worshippers because of those songs. face/palm

Hey, it's not my fault that the devil decided to mess with my mind, is it?

Cake's awesome. And yeah, he's pretty clearly atheist.
I love the ending of that song. It's just "Go to hell!" repeated over and over, clearly speaking to people who proselytize.

Oh, and Cake's still around. They just released a new album recently. And I'd say their biggest hit has to be "Short Skirt/Long Jacket".

Interestingly enough, I heard this song on the radio this morning. I love that song and I love the band.
