The battlefield that the two combatants find themselves in is a large sandy plain, with dunes rising up at random intervals due to heavy winds. A fierce wind blows over the area, masking any low sounds the fighters might make.
The opponents will appear on opposite sides of the sand field, giving time to either prepare or hide.

Edward landed in a low crouch on dand dune. He quickly dropped down into a ditch between two dunes to avoid being detected. The reports had said that his target would be found near here. He poked his head up and glanced around, trying to spot his target.

Are you worthy of it?

Havik was sitting with his back against a sand dune when the wind blew past him holding the smell of someone on it. Knowing that his Bijuu could make him a target he used the sand to camouflage himself using Kaku's power so that know one would be able to see him. After doing this he peaked over the top of the dune scanning the area in search of the source of the smell. Seeing a small head poke from around a sand dune Havik waited were he was to see what the ninja would do.
