Sand Nation is, as the name implies, a country of desert. As far as the eye can see on all horizons; Sand.
Waves and Waves of it. But wait, how can such a country exist if it consists of nothing but desert?

Very simple, my friend; The Capital of Sand nation, Teiichi.
It is the nerve center for the entire land. Everything from the re-stacking of sand, to the motion of the winds which drive it, is controlled from this place. Only those who have seen it know where to spot it on the map(assuming they aren’t DEAD, of course), and only those who have signed a special contract can find it again.

But let’s dial it back a bit and tell you more about Teiichi, hmm?
Teiichi is a walled city; the rough area of the walls is about 30 miles around, which provides for a decent amount of development within. There aren’t many tall buildings, besides the Hall of Elementals, and it is barely 5 stories itself; however, there are many small restaurants, stores, housing districts, and a few libraries. There is a main theater where plays, movies and concerts are often held; it is vast enough to hold the entire city’s populous.

From the outside, Teiichi looks like a half-enclosed left hand; Actual fingers of stone poke out of the sand as if emerging from a tomb. Between the fingers are thick, reinforced adobe/cement walls with walkways and observatories for the guards to keep watch for attackers; they form somewhat of a webbing between the fingers, which even gives the impression of a stone hand holding a hockey-puck shaped block of brown clay.

The residents of Teiichi vary from Musicians, Scholars and Actors, to Scientists, Magicians, Warriors and Elementals, the latter being the highest base of. The general populous of Teiichi have lived there their entire lives and are descendants of the founders, though there seem to be more and more women as generations continue.

The Hall of Elementals is where the main Enforcers reside and oversee the goings-on in the city. The first three floors are under their dominion. They mainly handle Jailing, execution and defense of the city, although they occasionally contribute advice during Council Meetings.

The fourth floor is the Hall of Commerce, where the strongest wielder of each element, known as Kashin, meet with the Enforcers and discuss with the Kanchou(the Leader of Teiichi) matters of relevance involving the city, it’s monetary conditions, health worries, and resource allocation.

The fifth Floor is split between the Kanchou’s office and the rooming for the Kashin. It is a highly restricted area with many curses and trip-charms in place that can only be bypassed with a special badge; of which, there are currently none. The Kashin and the Kanchou are immune to these ‘traps’, however, because they are the ones who placed them.
