So I only today found out who he is.
(I've never had a reason to know before, honestly.)
I've seen the shirts for years but had no idea who the guy on them was.

If he knew he were being mass produced then he'd be spinning in his grave.
This irony makes me laugh.

Makes sense that he's become a teen pop culture icon though.
You know us teens, we do love to pretend we're grungy and rebellious.
(When in reality, I'll bet those people have never given a thought to how capitalism is destroying the world, at least according to Che.)

....
I will admit some of those shirts are pretty spiffy.

i prefer the chimpanzee che guavara t-shirt 'viva la evolucion' XD

I remember briefly going on about him in our cold war history and the dictatorship history. he basically helped out Castro in a revolution and then was killed, right?

no idea why he's so famous. he didn't sound all that impressive 0o

That sounds awesome. xD
My friend said there's this shirt with his face on it but it says "Who the ******** is this?"
That made me giggle

I guess so.
I only skimmed a couple articles about him but from what I'm getting is that he was a medical student who one day realized how poor and destitute the rest of Latin America was.
So he got really pissed and blamed it all on capitalism then started capping a few asses and ordering a bunch of people killed.
Because the only way to cure this rampant capitalism, neocolonialism, and imperialism was world revolution of course.
Then the Bolivian President ordered him executed.

At least that'd the gist of it.

Well that's a lesson learned.

If you want too fight capitalism,
make damn sure you either don't have a marketable face,
or make sure no pictures of you remain after your death.

Or capitalism will get you and put you on fashionable T-shirts.

I always laugh a bit on the inside when I see those shirts.
c':
The irony is just so fantastic.

I always find it a bit wierd how people can wear a shirt
with either a person/band/movie when they have no idea who they are of seen it.

I almost smacked a friend of mine when I realised that despite often wearing a "Tank Girl" T-shirt she had never actualy read the comics or seen the movie.

I canceled smacking plans when she told me she had no idea the comic/movie even existed and promtly stoped wearing it until I let her watch the movie at my place.
After that the t-shirt was put back in use since she now knew that the movie was awesome and deserved a t-shirt.
