Bio/History:
In the small multi-cultural village that bordered Taki no Kuni, Kusa no Kuni, and Hi no Kuni there was born to the world a small boy of unknown parentage. Unlike most stories the boy was not an orphan, instead this is the story of a harlot and her three lovers. The village was known to be a neutral ground between the two countries when citizens and shinobi might get away from the pressures of their political agendas and pursue recreation and luxury for a time. The village’s largest attraction is the Border Brawl, called so by the locals as it is a friendly competition for shinobi of the three nations to compete until first blood or submission, death was prohibited and severely punished. This event collects most of the three nations idle shinobi to this place and with such entertainment comes the other less pleasant entertainments of the night. One of the unspoken prizes for being a competitor that made it to the finales is a night with the most regarded lady of the night.

This year however, instead of three ladies, one from each district to prevent such confusions, there was one, as a result of a political meandering in the village. This one lady was impregnated over the course of those three nights, and she bore the child of one of the contenders, a ninja of the highest martial caliber. When the child was born the truth unraveled and the three contenders were at each others throats for their child, each pressured by their nations due to the national secrets in the ninja genetics. The three nations argued it out but failed to meet a compromise, so instead they decided to kill the child. When the mother learned of this decision she hid her child in the wagon of a traveling female artist and scholar.

When the boy-child first awoke in screams the artist was confused and startled, having traveled for hours through wilderness well of the beaten track, the artist was pursuing a nunnery secluded from the world that rumors of a new medium for art and writing originated from. Halting in her team she hopped back into the wagon, blade drawn for interlopers, to her surprise and mild annoyance she found her unwanted passenger, a wailing boy child with desert sand eyes and the fresh growth of new inky hair. The eyes of the child captivated the artist’s heart within her, even though her scholarly worldliness was telling her to pitch the vagabond out and leave it to the whims of nature. Stooping down, having sheathed her blade only after investigating the rest of her wagon for quick inventory and anymore surprises, she picked up the wailing bundle and went to the head of the wagon. Pulling out a heavy bag of traveler’s meal, soaked through with milk as she preferred, she fed the child and assuaged its needs.

Continuing on her journey, now with a not entirely unwanted companion she came on her prey late one afternoon. The nunnery was the picture of solemnity, a quant stone collection of buildings arranged on the green sea of grains dipping and bowing in the ever present winds. She entered the village of nuns as the first hues of twilight colored the far eastern clouds with soft violets, burnt oranges and rosy pinks. The nuns received the traveling artist with humility and joy at having a break from the monotony of their lifestyle. The artist inquired after the new medium and received her answer. Sadly there was no new medium, rather the nunnery had received the tools to manufacture paper and had taken up the art of origami, selling their crafts to the local and parochial townships surrounding them, causing rumors of the new medium to explode and expound as a marvel feat of ignorance and exaggeration.

Weary from her journey she stayed the night with the nuns who inquired after the child. The artist told her story and became troubled over what she should do with the small person, luckily her option out presented itself as the nuns offered to care for the child until it became a man. The artist agreed after some minor deliberation, feeling somewhat responsible, she made a condition that the nuns would instruct the child according to the artist’s will and the artist would visit the child on trips to the nunnery acting as a merchant to the outside world for the nunnery’s goods.

Years passed and the child grew into a phenomenal study and artist not to mention a beautiful young boy. Unlike most children the boy had some odd qualities, attributed more to the nunnery’s religion rather than individual marvel. Foremost the child never lied, he knew what a lie was but he showed no will to deceive anyone, at a young age however he had little discretion, quickly calling out those who were doing wrong or were incorrect, thus he earned his nickname Shika Shin, nothing but the truth. However his guardian gave him a different name, one used only when she was around, Kyuuji Iwaku she named him ‘story of ancient times’. He grew and learned over time mastering the arts and knowledge of the nunnery. By the time he became pubescent he had exhausted the nunnery’s resources of arts and knowledge, showing his genius but not thinking it any different from the women around him as his feats were not praised, but then they were not rebuked either. When he woke one morning to messed sheets he was neither confused or embarrassed, he had learned of what this was in the nunnery’s library and from some of the healers amongst the nuns. He quietly packed his belongings, all provided by his guardian the female artist, and informed the nuns that he had begun his manhood. The nuns and the artist had prepared for this as a precaution as it was likely to happen when the artist was not visiting.

The next phase of Kyuuji Iwaku’s like was short and spent amongst the rambunctious boys of a nearby township. Kyuuji was vastly more learned then these children but had experienced little of the ways of the world, his guardian paying the nuns to unburden his load. Living with one of the more wealthy families of the township Kyuuji soon adapted, not without his fair share of blister and bruises, to the lifestyle of the working class, developing muscle at the tasks he was given. As the strange-eyed boy from the nunnery he was at the bottom of the pecking order with the local gang of boys. On the way home from one errand to the village baker, bringing money to purchase the fresh morning bread for tomorrow, he found himself the vent for the gang of boys testosterone. Of course the leader of this group was not the most savory character and Kyuuji had witnessed some of his rather more embarrassing and forbidden behaviors, and truthful as always Kyuuji condemned himself before he had a chance recognizing the leader and calling him out on his penchant for foreign shinobi, male shinobi. Needless to say Kyuuji got the tar beat out of him. Quickly the truthful boy learned the art of tactful discretion. More over Kyuuji vastly dislike being beaten up, so much so that he endeavored to learn to protect himself. There was a retired shinobi who lived in the next village over and, taking some of his labor earning he went to make a request of the man.

Kyuuji offered to pay the ninja for his knowledge, but the ninja refused monetary payment. Instead he argued that his old bones were getting to stiff to comfortably take care of all of the chores. The ninja wrote a letter to Kyuuji’s guardian and in a month Kyuuji was living with the ninja and learning the arts of the Shinobi, even though he only believed he was learning how to defend himself. Years passed and the subtle but intensive training from the ninja sculpted the boy into a young ninja. His training was so subtly done that the boy became a ninja by nature rather than profession, it was his way of life not a mask put on to perform a duty. One morning Kyuuji was called to the village were he had previously lived, being told that his old caretaker was poorly and was requesting his presence. Kyuuji and his tutor made their way to the village in time to say their respects to the old man before he passed at the fruitful age of ninety-three. His oldest son assumed the head of the family after three days of grieving. On the second day of morning Kyuuji was taking a walk through the city, receiving respects and give them back to the townspeople when he was again assaulted by the now gang of young men of the village, the same unsavory character led them and time had brought him into the dregs of society adding a wicked glint to his features and the stench of blood to his presence. Honest Kyuuji said nothing but events did not repeat themselves. He was assaulted by the twenty young men of village, each blaming him for the old man’s death. Kyuuji did not fight, rather he slaughtered, the fight was not a fair one and Kyuuji had never practiced with anyone aside from his master, two of the village boys were killed due to his actions, five were permanently maimed and the rest of them were out cold and bloodied by the end of the fight. Having his gang defeated did not encourage the coward to flee, rather he viewed the young man before him as inferior still due to his stature. Drawing steel was the last thing that the vagabond leader did. Kyuuji mourned the unnecessary deaths of the two boys, but did not carry the weight of the vagabond on his soul. Little did Kyuuji know that his master was watching from a nearby shadowed rooftop. When the fight was over the master performed a technique on Kyuuji, sending him to sleep and spirited him out of the village and far from it, their old home would no longer be safe with the wrathe of the village due to the fight soon to follow. From Kusa they made their way to Hi no Kuni and lived in a small village where the number of retired ninja was slightly higher, evening the grounds and minimizing casualties from boyhood skirmishes.

Here Kyuuji learned of chakra and its applications. He studied for a long time mastering the basic techniques and some of the wind but he failed to see the flair in them. Instead he studied about control and found interest in fuinjutsu, finding its complexities stimulating to his mind and its applications varied infinitely in minor nuances and subtleties. He began his study of seals and reawakened his knowledge of artistry and paper folding. His master noticed this passion and encourage the boy to experiment. For years Kyuuji toiled to create a technique he could enjoy and use, one that suited him. Through many hardships, failures and injuries he finally developed his own variation of Shikigame no Mai, Kami Shikigame, and Han Shikigame.

When his master died of old age Kyuuji went to live with his guardian in a large merchant town, a political center of kusa. There his guardian had earned a municipal position and was a major component of her branch of the local government. Under this life style Kyuuji learned the arts of political maneuvering, subtlety and custom. He learned the known languages of the world and the different cultures of the shin obi nations and the nations known beyond. He founded his own company for a time, trading and selling stationary supplies, he made a substantial fortune using his technique to mass produce expensive stationary. Eventually he was able to have such a low cost to himself that he grew bored with the games of merchants. He did not leave his guardian’s side for years, continuing to amass a fortune and hefty reputation. On one brisk fall evening he returned home to his guardian’s mansion to find it torn apart and every member of her household ravaged and savagely murdered. There were obvious mementos to who had done this, a calling card was left on top of his guardian’s body. The emblem of the local crime boss. Kyuuji took law into his own hands.

Inside of his warehouse Kyuuji put his technique to use and a blizzard of paper was born in that merchant city. The city arose the next morning with the fascinating discovery of beautiful butterflies hovering and flitting about the city, seemingly attracted to the flower of the city which grew everywhere. Little did they know that the butterflies were spies and in a matter of days Kyuuji had all the members of the crime syndicates by name and face. On one cold night the butterflies reverted to paper fluttering in the breeze and sealed the homes of the innocents, preventing casualties. The entire city was covered in paper. Methodically Kyuuji killed off every member of the syndicate, leaving behind a bloodied origami dragonfly laying on his nearly unidentifiable victims. He began with the weakest and lowest in their chain of command and slowly worked his way up, letting the news travel. He personally killed off the crooked shinobi that guarded the crime boss and then quickly finished the boss in a artistic flourish. All of the bloodied dragon flies swarmed to Kyuuji in the bosses terrible last moments, the last thing that man saw was a vicious swarm of bloody dragonflies, then he was gone from this world. Before dawn Kyuuji summoned all of the paper back to himself, the sight of all the paper folding into itself was an artistic wonder on its own. He then left the city, and his old life of habitation behind. The city awoke in gruesome astonishment at the discovery of both the mansion and the syndicate, they assumed Kyuuji dead.

Kyuuji wandered the lands for a time, learning many foreign techniques before returning to Kusa no Kuni and Kusagakure where her steadily rose in rank until he became the Kuaskage, having been his suspected heir in the first place.

Bijuu/Jinchuuriki

Bijuu Name:
Bijuu Abilities:
Bijuu Control:

Bloodline Background:

Kekkei Genkai Name: Benkeinonakidokoro (hijutsu)
Kekkei Genkai Effect:
Effect 1- Anko – the user has the ability to generate mirage like images by manipulating cold light (temperature of surroundings) in a 396 foot radius of the user. (Manipulates only the visible spectrum: i.e. can make a floating red ball of light 396 feet away from him; absolutely nothing else from the electromagnetic spectrum.)
Effect 2 – Ishikifumei Dannen- When the afflicted touches(skin comes in contact with) another living creature they release (involuntary function) a mutated natural enzyme that metabolizes chakra into an absorbable form for the afflicted to ingest. Acting as an anesthesia the enzyme, when the victim has absorbed enough, puts the victim in a state of stupor. The enzyme metabolizes chakra instantly, constantly metabolizing chakra as it is fed it, effectively draining the amount of usable chakra The enzyme cannot kill someone as it cannot attack the source of human chakra, the heart. Thus it is possible to recover from the anesthesia and chakra enzyme, however the victim will have extreme chakra exhaustion, a lasting (strong but wanes as the enzyme us purged) numbness, hypersensitivity (to cure this one would have to readapt to the senses, it is a process of either extremely intensive sensory training or a gradually over life). The stupor is physical, meaning that the person is able to rationalize and they experience sensory deprivation, which could have maddening effects. It takes a week to purge the enzyme from the entire body.

For minor contact, brushing skin, it takes fifteen minutes
For trading blows, it takes hours.
A constant hold takes days.
Effect 3 – Daraku Hakudatsu- If the afflicted holds onto a person or retouches the location where he previously released the enzyme, before the enzyme is purged, he will draw the metabolized chakra that had been in that part of the body out and into his own. This process can cure people of sickness as it would kill foreign life forms in the victim’s body. Daraku Hakudatsu is controlled partially by will, as it is the afflicted’s source of energy and if there is a lack of energy then there is a dominant hunger and the instinct to feed overpowers the will to limit. If this is not done to someone who has the enzyme the enzyme will dissolve in three days leaving the victim with a large source of food for the body, the metabolized chakra and the victim will experienced increased physical vigor and vitality for the same duration of time that they anesthetic/weakness effects plagued them.

Height: 6’5’’
Weight: 155lbs
Eyes: Large, Circular and Sunken. The gray blue eyes are ringed with the gray discoloration that is typically referred to as “bags”.
Physical Build: Tall and malnourished. He appears as a frame, his muscles wiry and lithe but almost every bone in his body is visible. His hijutsu has aged him, making him appear the crypt keeper even though it keeps him as energized as if he were a teenage fitness freak in their prime.
Personality: He is a loner being haphephobic, doraphobic, and hypnophobic he is quite the bal of madness. He must touch to survive but fears being touched, touching and find no solace from his predicaments in the realm of slumber as he fears sleep.
Intelligence:Body Genius
Body Archetype: Speed Demon
Affiliations: N/A
Family: When his body was formed in his mother’s womb he had developed the Hijutsu and it consumed his mother his incubation period rapidly decreased with the amount of chakra he was receiving he grew rather quickly and in three weeks he was matured as a baby and had to be surgically removed. His mother recovered, with the physical vigor aiding her. However her exposure was so great that she suffered with permanent numbness of her reproductive organs. Needless to say he had no other siblings. His father and mother abandoned him to be killed in a pig pen at birth, careful never to touch him. The pigs were found in a stupor with the baby giggling happily in the mud. As a notable birth his parents were executed for abandoning a possible shinobi of the bloody mist.
Bio/History: Yakuzai grew up in an odd manner, he was never touched by a human until he reached physical competency for ninja training, the age of two. Here he was pitted against criminals, ***** and rapists with a taste for young boys, they all met their demise. He learned of his Ankou ability from a man who was falsely condemned as a *****, his superior was the one who raped the village girl and of course the little man took the fall. This man was a magician by trade, an illusionist. He saw before him a young and frightened Yakuzai and used tricks to bring him out of his shell. Most of which were small slights of reflections, dust, smoke, and incendiary powders. Yet the quickly growing Yakuzai replicated the techniques with his ability, attempting to emulate the man. With this the man felt the child was a demon and attempted to kill him. He fell into death as well. Over time murderers and then criminal shinobi were introduced into the fodder, and Yakuzai grew in the arts of feeding. He rarely killed unless asked or starved. When he was asked to kill he took his weapon of choice, the Kyoketsu Shoge and slit a major arty, letting the heart falter and die as the enzymes over took it and absorbed the most potent chakra of a person, their source. Over time he was sculpted into a detached monster with some major personality problems and a vain ideology. His only consistency in life was that he was hated by everyone as a freak and soon he lost his humanity to madness and abandonment.
