I decided that I should make a topic for all oboe players, even though most people don't even know what an oboe is. If you have any questions or concerns fell free to pm me because I'm in 8th grade, I've played the oboe for about 3 months and it's not hard at all. I'm great at it, trust me.

plenty of people know what the oboe is. you're probably a terrible oboe player(no offense intended). you probably don't know nearly as much as you imply that you know. there's a sticky for double reeds.

Double reed sticky, pleeaaase! It does not get enough love. D=
No offense, but if you think oboe's easy, you're doing it wrong. I've only been playing for a bit over a year, and I've known that since day one. It's almost pure luck that my sound has come as far as it has, and even after just four months I didn't sound like a dying duck anymore (it was a miracle!).
Ask anyone who knows about it. Oboe is easily one of the hardest instruments to learn and play well, along with French Horn, Violin, etc. (That's mostly opinion, but a lot of people I know thing that way, at least.)
