UGH! I hate people who quit for nothing! This one girl quit just because she had a hair appointment! Doesn't make any sence! We had 9 girls and 1 guy! 3 girls dropped out! Have you ever had that happen to you?!

We usually have a surplus of freshman percussionists, so the more that quit the better sweatdrop Typically the more skilled/mature players are the ones that stay.

Not all people quit for immaturity or hair appointments- those who do aren't fit to be musicians.
Because I'm out of band, many people label me a "quitter", and I can tell you that I'm not. I had a confrontation with the (not even head) director that was a c**t and who should die. She was a domineering b***h who pushed people until they had enough and actually did quit- I fought to stay in band, and I stood up against her.
It cost me friends, my position in band, and my second home, but to anyone who's thinking of quitting because of a beurocratic mess: don't get mad, get even. Fight it out, and if you still want to leave, at least leave the enemy with a mark to remember you by.
(P.S.- thank god for playing two instruments (and orchestra! XD))

Exactly! Now that the fall semester is over one of our IMPORTANT DRUMMERS(!!!!!) quit! I got so angry. Stupid Austin... I'm never quitting band. I made a deal with my dad, "When band is no longer fun, I'm gonna quit." Which I can follow up on. Because BAND IS ALWAYS FUN!!!!!!!!!
(Sorry band nerd ;D One of the MANY reasons I join the band nerd guild.)

xXx_Bunnies_xXx UGH! I hate people who quit for nothing! This one girl quit just because she had a hair appointment! Doesn't make any sence! We had 9 girls and 1 guy! 3 girls dropped out! Have you ever had that happen to you?! I quit school band because the BD was an arrogant p***k that never let me play. so at a concert I stole the other bassists solo and quit right after the solo. He tried getting me to join again but I refused.

I quit because one girl, a flute, thought she was the best so she could yell at everybody in the band about everything. Especially the flutes. She thought she controlled us. She was a b***h. But I heard she's not doing band next year, so I'll be going back for senior year. =]
And our BD sucked. He sat around ALL the time. He just watched us. And when we went outside to practice, he wouldn't be out FOREVER because he would stay in his office on his computer. From what I heard, he looked porn.
[[And sorry I'm posting in the wrong place, since I'm a flute, I just wanted to comment about this. ]]

My friend(s) are quiting after this year , our first year in HS. Theyre both bassoonists, figures. But you go tto understand, its their prerogative, not yours besides, in the end, who would have had more fun? ^^ (Quiting MB because "Its too hard"(lol dats what she said xD jk) is a different story, I hate people who do that because we pay all this money to write them into a drill and they quit. figures. ) EDIT: wrong section, Admin please fix. TY.

These guys are quitting percussion because one of them thinks that our BD and our Jazz Band D are assholes (JBD I can agree with him on that) and the other thinks he's too good for our band. It is retarded. 2nd guy already quit, but first guy hasn't yet. We'll see if he has when we go back to school. If he does, we'll have 2 people in percussion.

Yeah we had a rather big hit to our drumline when after our seniors graduated, and we were left with the highest grade being Juniors. ((My class this year; we have no seniors)) The second junior who was our quads player quit in a facebook status update. It still pisses me off but I'm trying to get over before he comes back in the spring. I am the drumline captain and he didn't even send me a direct message or tell me at one on the summer practices. Then his girlffriend followed, clarinet, but her reason was one of a more social/backstabbed reason. People didn't like her when she was with her boyfirend and she put him over them, and then when he was gone she felt like she was going to be alone so she quit the full year of band.
