Stage Description:
First stage of the Ashigan
The first stage of the Ashigan was the most simplest of the three to obtain. To obtain the first stage, one must feel tremendous feelings of hatred and revenge. Usually after a loved ones death, a shinobi would have a purple blue glow in his eye and feel tremendous pain. But after the pupil and cornea gets used to this change in the eye, a user can see the chakra in the world. A user can use his chakra more effectively and easily, and they even get a new dark chakra. The reason being that this new dark chakra helps the user see his own chakra when using the ashigan. While using the ashigan,the world seems to be light, showing neutral chakra as white, and special chakra as its specified color. The user´s chakra is seen as dark to help distinguish himself and his surroundings.
Another special ability of the first stage is that the user can upgrade his jutsus using this dark chakra. This dark chakra can surround a shinobi´s weapons to strengthen them, fuse with jutsus to upgrade them, and can even dettach itself to surround an enemy. Ofcourse, this would be impossible without first knowing the amount of chakra in an object. Without knowing the amount of chakra in an object, the user won´t be able to know how much dark chakra to use to surround an enemy. Too little isn´t enough, and too much around an object/enemy can fatique the user easily.
Second stage of the Ashigan
To acheive the second stage of the ashigan, a shinobi must battle a bijuu and survive. This was probably the hardest of the three stages since bijuus are usually hidden within hosts and bijuus are hard to encounter, not to mention battle. But if a shinobi battles a host, he can obtain the second stage of the ashigan once the host is angered enough to use his bijuu´s chakra. After that, the second stage is acheived. The second stage of the ashigan allows the user to upgrade his jutsus from any of the five elements' properties. That does not mean he can use all five elements however. Using the dark chakra of the second stage, a wind-style rasengan for example gets the dark aura around it and as long as the dark chakra is surrounding the rasengan it loses the elemental weakness it had for fire based attacks. How would this be useful? If the user has trained all his life in wind-styles jutsus and he is fighting against a fire-style user, creating the aura around the rasengan will give it the upperhand if clashing with fire, making the elemental differences equal if not more powerful depending on chakra input.
In the second stage, chakra reserves also increase to keep up with the constant change in elemental jutsu. Chakra control is harder and more dangerous since too much chakra can be used at a time, causing faster fatigue. At this stage the ashigan stays the same color and keeps the same design, but the purpleish blue glow in it seems to shift from purple to blue and vice versa when an element is upgraded
Final stage of the Ashigan
The final stage of this eye jutsu was rumored to be acheived only once the other stages were completed and another with the ashigan had his eyes gouged out and transplanted into the victor´s skull. Doing this would grant several abilities. When this was done, dark chakra could completely envelop itself around the user and make his taijutsu stronger and even shield him from chakra attacks created from a bijuu's chakra. The chakra surrounding a user could heal him if for some reason a powerful attack manages to break through his natural defenses. The "dark" chakra loses its black color and becomes transparent to both the naked eye and doujutsu users such as the byakugan. In other words, there is an "invisible" shield defending the user from weak attacks such as a punch or any D-ranked and below ninjutsu. It also shields him from most genjutsu. (Shield explanation below)
The user's invisible shield of chakra is not always active however, which is why it is not seen. When an attack such as a weak fireball is aimed at the user, the body recognizes the danger and therefore shields the user several feet before landing. Regular punches and kicks with lower amounts of chakra are not recognized as quickly and so the chakra shield stops those some inches before touching skin. A byakugan user would not notice this shield because to him, it would seem as if the jutsu or attack made contact but simply bounced off. The small amount of chakra needed to stop D-ranked jutsus is barely noticeable. The only time the chakra shield would be visible is if the user has to defend from say, an A-ranked fireball in which he would have to manipulate the chakra surrounding him and form a dense shield, making the dark chakra visible and leaving him vulnerable from any attacks coming from behind.
With this shield, there comes a new ability to the ashigan. Besides being able to look at chakra, it goes deeper than any eye technique and actually looks into the minds and hearts of people. The eye can read the minds of multiple opponents all at once, but if there are too many then the user suffers headaches and so the user will be forced to focus on one enemy if the opposing force is made up of more than three people. Reading the hearts of others can tell the user what emotions others are feeling, and it gives a little insight on what bothers them in life. In the final stage, the user's chakra feeds off of hatred, revenge and any other negative emotion and so the worse the enemy feels, the more chakra is formed. This has a negative effect on the user usually, for he himself begins to think solely about anger and hatred and becomes virtually insane, leading to poor judgement and stupid mistakes if in a battle to the death situation.
Reibi
The Reibi is a monster that in legend, only appeared in times of bad luck when everyone was at hate with each other. Although not a stage in itself, it is in a way connected to the third stage. Once the user absorbs enough dark chakra via the hatred in the area, the dark chakra envelops him and controls him. A beast said to be as powerful as a tailed beast manifests and takes control of him. The 0-tailed Masked Leech makes no distinction between friend or foe, and brings utter destruction. Like a tailed beast, the Reibi is unaffected by genjutsu and taijutsu, and only strong ninjutsu is able to hurt him. However, he has a regenerating ability that allows himself to reform as long as there is hatred. The Reibi has a natural weakness to Hikariton (Light) and Chaos elemental though. If an ashigan user manages to reach this stage, the spirit of the Reibi will not allow him any control over what to do.
The only way to defeat the spirit of the Reibi is through love and forgiveness. Once a village is destroyed and all are dead, the spirit would leave as it feels no more darkness, but if villagers manage to feel love and forgiveness then the Reibi weakens and disappears as well. It is near useless to attack the Reibi but if one were to allow it to attack, the beast takes it as forgiveness and becomes weaker. Then as the Reibi leaves, it will take it as though it has taught a lesson to humans and has achieved peace. The ashigan user is left behind unconscious.
Clan Background:
During the attacks of the original akatsuki and the reign of the 6th hokage, the bijuus were all set free and war was still going on between the countries. In all this destruction, several shinobi from the villages that were the centerpoint of these attacks decided to travel to other parts. These shinobi, all from different villages, got together to travel east. There they found new lands...lands that were rumored to be the birthplace of the bijuus. After many months and numerous deaths, the group of hundreds of shinobi dwindled to dozens as they reached far away from the coast. Which at the time, was the farthest they could be from the war. Being hidden in the shadows of all this destruction... they decided to call their village, "The village hidden in the shadows."
Kagegakure had many skilled shinobi, and because they lived in a place rumored to have bijuus they had to defend themselves somehow. That´s how the ashigan was born. All who entered kagegakure had the ability to use ashigan...but only once they knew what it meant to feel hatred and revenge. Why? Because children never felt those emotions and if children had the eye jutsu then what could they possibly do with it? Only the skilled shinobi of the village were taught the secret to activating the technique, so they could be the only ones to use it.
Ofcourse there were other stages to the eye jutsu for the more experienced. To acheive the second stage of the ashigan, a shinobi must battle a bijuu and survive. This was an effective way of keeping children and lower class guards from obtaining too much power since only the strong survived against bijuus, and only the strong dared to face one. Power was a big issue in the village and only the leaders could reach the final stage.
The final stage of the ashigan. It is unknown how exactly to reach this stage, in fact it was kept secret from even the strongest warriors. But the leaders had to have some form of protection from the bijuus and the strong warriors who rebelled, didn´t they? The final stage of this eye jutsu was rumored to be acheived only once the other stages were completed and another with the ashigan had his eyes gouged out and transplanted into the victor´s skull. Since the leaders had a list of all the shinobi with an ashigan, this was an easy task. And since any strong warrior could get punished for murder, he would never be able to reach the final stage. Hence, the leaders were the only ones with the real power...
But after the village grew and grew, some of the other villages feared it. Konoha and several sand and stone shinobi attacked the village and killed almost all of the kagegakure shinobi. It is rumored that some shinobi escaped however, and are still alive as missing nin....

Meiton Style: The All Powerful God no Jutsu

Description: The user focuses and exerts a large amount of dark chakra into the area. This dark chakra begins to block out the sun completely. If used on top of a village for example, the dark chakra can completely shroud the village in darkness and make it appear even darker than night. Even eye techniques will not be able to find their way through this darkness for it is made of so much chakra, it disables the ability to tell chakra from the technique and chakra from surrounding shinobi apart. From here on, he can manipulate this large amount of chakra and use it in two ways:
1- Falling Angels: The dark chakra surrounding the area will start to fall in drops, almost like rain. The “dark drops” are as sharp as senbon and twice as dense. Even buildings and the earth itself will feel the destruction of this jutsu. The dark chakra will slowly cover the ground and form a layer.
2- Hell's Rebellion: The dark chakra layer mixes in with all of the debris from the previous attack, and all at once spikes up from the ground. All spikes reach several yards into the air, but a chosen few can even go up high enough that the spikes can connect with the layer of dark chakra that was covering the village.
Meiton Style: Blizzard of Darkness

Description: A dark aura surrounds the sword and the enemy and as the user squeezes the sword's handle, the aura squeezes the enemys muscles and bones. The user can choose to swing the sword to unleash a wave of dark aura to cut the enemy in pieces while paralyzed, or to continue to squeeze the handle so that the enemy gets squeezed to death. Can be used with multiple enemies or even structures.

Description: Using dark chakra, the user surrounds himself with it and causes himself to become invisible to anyone without chakra-sensing abilities.
Meiton Style: Sphere of Shroud

Description: The user manipulates his dark chakra and forms a sphere around his enemies. This sphere covers the enemies' sense of sight and any projectile or jutsu of equal rank or lower that is exerted outwards whilst being trapped, will bounce back at all who are trapped inside at double the power. However, the sphere also weakens as it is attacked.

Description: A powerful technique with a profane name. The user focuses his Kageton chakra into a tightly compressed point on his hand. After swiping his hand, the dark chakra literally bitchslaps all shinobi in the area.
Meiton Style: Sword Manipulation

Description:The user molds their meiton chakra into the shape of a katana or broadsword. The sword can slice through B-ranked jutsu and below. The damage is that of a real sword and effects such as burns vary depending on the element the user decided to associate it with.

Description: The user casts their hand in the direction of the target and sends negative feeling which adds to the darkness currently in the opponent’s heart. Cause mental breakdown as making decision becomes harder (takes longer) and loss of knowledge (may forget a hand seal so jutsu not executed.)

Description:Using meiton chakra as an aid, the user increases their strength and speed by one rank. Lasts three to five posts.
Meiton Style: Shield

Description:The user molds meiton chakra into a 6 by 6(maximum may be varied to only cover arm, head, etc.) foot thin square that defends against all B rank jutsu reflecting them back. A-ranked jutsu and up push user back and has a chance of breaking the shield. The shield is able to be moved when Ashigan is activated. Lasts up to 5 post.
Meiton Style: Teleportation Vortex

Description:Using the meiton element the user will mold circular vortexes on the ground (max of 3 per jutsu use). The user can create the vortex directly below their feet. Each vortex allows an Ashigan user or anyone whom has been surrounded by the meiton chakra to teleport between vortexes.
