Don't pay attention to the avi. .___.; anyways, 1; I have a huge problem with hands. I tend to not make them big enough or small enough and my fingers are always too thin. How do I resolve this?
2; I have a tablet. And I use tegaki e instead of its program cause of laptop problems. So I tend to doodle on GIMP. and upload pics from my scanner and the such and try to color them on gimp. But I can't get that good quality everyone else does. Help me out on how to color on gimp??

the best advice for hands i can give you would be look at a lout of references picture ...whether it be pictures online, looking at your own hands of telling a friend to hold there hands out in a particular position ect it can become very helpful when i was learning hands a bit this is one of the reference i went by http://what-i-do-is-secret.deviantart.com/art/Multireference-Hands-and-Feet-68470112 theirs also Anime styles and Disney styles which tend to make hands on the small side, and long slender fingers.... so it also depend on the style you pratray them in
i also have a gimp i found the program to be pretty afishant in coloring ... every one has there own way of doing things but i like to draw my line art and underneath in a new layer put base tones, fill wont do you much good it gives a bad quality pixel look unless you intend on fixing it up after. i usually use the circle brush for this then in different layers work on the lighting and shading ... note you will not be able to color pick tool unless your on the layer .. the program will also save the last 12 colors you use normally i use minimum to 4 colors in lighting and shadeing (unless i was doing a more stilealise drawing) puss the base tone also in you line art use a small brush or use ink not the pencil it will leave the quality kinda pixelly
also note if your scaning in on a picture you have to trace the lines in the program you use for the line art
most of all practice makes perfect, practice every day and sooner or later you will get the hang of it ;D
