Divone watched to ensure the two horses were settled before withdrawing back to commune with the other Elders. She had to share with them the young horses new's as well as the new developments concerning the Owls - something the other two would find vastly interesting she was sure. they would have much to talk about - and it would probably be wise to ensure they managed to get some rest as well, none of the three could be considered young any longer and the trip Maponus said would be a long one. They had much to do...and very little time in which to do it.

Though Shylah had insisted that Maponus rest and eat as well he found that he just wasn't all that tired. And while he did eat some and settle down beside Shylah for the night he only slept a little bit. At one point of the night he got up, careful not to wake Shylah, and went out to the larger grove where he found Herne and Breckin. He spent a long time discussing things with Herne, mainly how they would move the slow moving horses all that distance to their new home. It was a huge undertaking but Maponus knew he was up for the challenge. Most importantly Herne told Maponus that they no longer needed to rush and push themselves to exhaustion, they had time for this journey, which was a blessing in itself.
As morning came up Maponus returned to the smaller grove where the survivors waited. Making sure they were well fed before leaving for such a long journey. Once he was satisfied that they were ready to leave he led them out of the Sacred Grove for the last time. Herne stayed up front with Maponus as he led the way, while his counterpart Breckin tended to stay near the rear of the pack or close to Shylah. The pace was slow as they needed to rest often, but as fate would have it the storms that he and Shylah had been battling during their travels had subsided. No longer did they fight wind and snow as they went along, instead it was merely pushing through the deep drifts and finding shelter from the cold that was the main concern.
It took just over a full moon cycle for the small herd of horses to reach their new home, and while Maponus didn't want to push them during the last short leg of the journey at night, Herne had insisted upon it. And who was going to argue with such a sacred animal. So with the moons light cast upon the large grove Maponus led the horses inside. They all looked terribly tired and thin, but he knew that now that they had arrived things could only get better. He came to a stop near the center of the grove where a large oak tree stood proud and tall. With Shylah at his side he looked at those who they had brought here. "Welcome home." He told them with a smile on his maw. "Our journey has been a long one, you are now free to rest and start gaining back your strength."
The horses gathered around Maponus as he spoke and then since it had been a long day and night of travelling went off to find a sheltered place to rest for the remainder of the night. They were all tired but deep inside the were excited about finally reaching their destination and starting their lives anew.
