Okay, This thread is for the mods of this guild to introduce themselves so if you have a problem you will know who to contact. Firstly there is me. I am totally Captain of this ship and so forth. We are starting with 2 additional Crew members and I may expand that when the time comes. 2nd in command is Ayamechan, actually I would like you all to treat Ayamechan as my equal in rank and command. She deserves special thanks because firstly she donated 15,000 gold to make this guild offical. But she also got the guild in order today when I found myself emotionally incapable to do much more than mope around. (I was having some personal problems today) Ive also appointed Teh Rice as a mod, because he has been a member of the guild since near the begining, has been active in the guild and made me pretty banners before we got offical without asking for anything in return heart I loves him! (See kids, if you make the Guild happy, you make the Annie happy) So Mods! When you read this introduce yourselves!

Vital Stats
Name: Ayamechan.
Birthday: 11/13/85
Age: 20.
Grade: college Sophomore.
Major: Japanese/East Asian Studies
Choir nerd since: September 1995 (or earlier, if you wish to count when I actually got accepted into the choir).
Likes: choir (duh), meh boyfriend, reading fantasy novels or manga, watching anime, chatting with friends, SLEEPING.
Dislikes: idiocy, math class, section leaders who don't do their jobs, tone deaf people who think they belong in choir, Band Geek topics in the General Discussion and people who don't consider the voice an instrument, competitions (cause I suck at them), and finally, bad cafeteria food.
History
I first joined choir in 1995 when I got accepted to my elementary school's Honor's Choir. I probably shouldn't have made it... I was trying out just to see if I had any measure of talent. Heck, before that, I wasn't even sure if I liked singing all that much.
I only really got into choir in highshcool, when it was something more than what people take just to get a fine arts credit. I realized early on that I needed voice lessons... I was only in an all-girl's group my sophomore and junior years (it's where they put the people who don't really fit anywhere else). I FINALLY made the top choir at the school, A Capella, my senior year (for the record, I was jumping up and down and screaming when I found out that I'd been chosen).
Blurb
I'm majoring in Japanese and East Asian Studies, mainly because I couldn't pull off a music major. I'm not talented enough, plus I hate competitions.
Sorry that that was long and boring... and welcome to the choir nerds guild.

Okay its time for me to tell you guys a little about myself.
Voice Part: Alto 2
Range: E below the staff is the lowest I can sing, and the highest Ive ever sang was G above High C, but that was controlled squeaking. I can sing up to High C without squeaking too much if Im fully warmed up, but like I said Im a freakin Alto 2.
A Little About Me: Most of my choir information is in the thread "Reasons for Joining Choir" or something like that. I will tell you that one of my directors and my voice teacher and trying to make me sing soprano eek Which is scary, and I make a much better Alto. Besides singing Alto helps you learn how to sight read, something I desperatly need help in. It also teaches harmony and other cool things I need to be able to do.
I am currently in love with Nightwish. They make me want to melt. If you dont know they get to. Basically the lead vocalist is trained in Opera. She will make you Orgasm! (They do a Phantom of the Opera cover!!! )The band plays like rock stuff. So its not like its just Opera. Seriously give it a listen kids.

Hullo thar biggrin im Jen Age: 14 Voice part: Soprano
Chorus History: at the old town i use to lived in, chorus was horrible and torture made everyone at the elementary school do chorus, we all cramed in this small windoless room, especially hot and suffocating when the weather gets hot xp s when i moved to the current town i live in i never took chorus again due to my past torture domokun
so 5th-7th grade i never really bothered to do it, but at teh end of 7th grade there was this A Cappella assembly, group made up of the best singers in the chrous, and they were good, so that was one of the things that inspired me to do chorus again, and ofcourse, seeing the movie moulin rouge whee i actual love chorus here, its fun and the teacher is nice

Name: Mike
Vocal Part: Bass
Grade: 11th (High School Junior)

Nerding it up since: the early years.
If anyone cares to read furthur, I like video games, food, sexy japanese men, different languages, songs in different laugnages, rock music and choir.
I dislike Rap music, people who join choir and don't sing, waking up in the morning, math, people who act like morons and close-minded people. :/

Have fun on the boards. biggrin
