Who the hell puts on sunscreen if they're going outside for less than 20 minutes?
I only put it on if I'm going to be out in the summer sun for hours, like if I'm going to the zoo or the park or the pool.

Melanoma will kill you a lot quicker than osteoperosis.

I need sunscreen or else I will burn rapidly. I even burn in the winter, and it snows sometimes here XD The only reason I carry a purse is so that I have my sunscreen ready.

Are you an albino, or do you have some sort of skin condition? Anyway... Since when does Vitamin A cancel out Vitamin D? Does that mean if you eat carrots in the sun you won't be getting any Vitamin D?

I dont like exposing much of my skin, only my arms, cause Im really self concious about that...I used to always wear long sleeves or sweaters in the summer too, but I've stopped that. Now I think my arms get too much sun, they are much more brown than the rest of my body... but I take vitamin D suplements... useful link ^ I didnt really know how much I am supposed to be getting. But apparently its in this orange juice and a bunch of some other foods (of which I dont trust) my family buys...

Does that mean if you eat carrots in the sun you won't be getting any Vitamin D? Yeah, as far as I've learned in the past little while is how different foods react with others.. Lots of vitamins are fat soluble, so it's a good thing when your D supplements are in a base of flax oil or whatever... Vitamin C absorption is helped when you have vitamin D I believe.. and Vit A makes it more difficult for your body for absorb D. I'm sure you could easily look up which affects which. Maybe if you're afraid of a little sun - you would be happy to know the aluminum and other metals they're spraying in the atmosphere block the sun's rays (and therefore are blocking more Vitamin D decifient people from getting the little bit they do get~) yay

I love how Mercola offers no sources and then at the end tells us to buy HIS products, rather than just telling us some natural things we could do on our own (i.e. eat more blackberries, etc.) or tell us what ingredients to look out for.
:l
iunno, he doesn't seem very trustworthy. to me it seems like all he cares about is the money.

I would rather burn than have cancer causing chemicals on my skin. You are probably more likely to get cancer because of the things you consume and put on your body than actually getting it from the sun.
All these tanning beds are a really stupid idea, but don't you think that the cream you put on has anything do with it at all? It gets absorbed into your skin and then you are exposing yourself to pure ultra violet rays.

This is actually obvious, though. o.e Sun is good, but too much is bad and causes skin cancer.
