I just got my first "nice" petticoat (i.e., not a crappy one from a costume shop) and I'm feeling a bit overprotective about it ^^; Obviously it's ok to smush it some, since you have to sit down, but could I have some guidelines about what you should do/should not do? Also, traveling tips? Thanks (:
Edit: I've also noticed that it's fuller on one side than the other, is it supposed to be like that?

I learned something about traveling with petticoats from a fellow Lolita. She put hers in plastic bags and tied them up to save space and fluffed them out when she took them out. The uneven fullness may just be the way it squishes together. With all that material, it's to be expected. Hang them up when you aren't wearing them. You can handwash or use the washer (I use the washer and mine are still top-notch). Line dry.
