Ok, I know that at the end it says that all names and events are fictitous, but I still couldn't help but get creeped out. The only part that seemed unrealistic to me was the Ouiji board getting set on fire while no one was in the house.

Has anyone else seen the movie? Am I insane for thinking it was really creepy (keep in mind that I have dealt with a demon before)? Anyone want to tell me what happened at the end because I couldn't bring myself to watch it xD lol? It's one of two movies that I have ever seen that's actually scared me.

i have not seen it, but it my friend did and she said that it was stupid, unrealistic, and only scary in one part, where the sheets get ripped off the bed.

My friend Randy, said it was only scary at one part. I watched it, and it scared the living s**t out of me. Especially since I live with ghosts and unlocked a couple demons. But he says only the end is scary, which I agree its THEE most scary part.

I saw all of it, but I skipped past the part where she was sitting in front of the camera. Do you know what was going on after she came upstairs? I know what happened when she was downstairs, but other than that I'm a little confused. I was going to try to watch it, but I freaked out again. The end was the only part the really creeped my out more than the rest.

EDIT:: Considering that I had to get rid of a demon with my friend and always wondered what it would be like to be possessed, that's probably why the end scared me. And my room is filled with spirits, it's crazy.

it didnt scare me....at all. you think that the 'demon' chould make more attemps at killing Katie? it was totally acted. hated the movie and laughed at it the whole way through.

:/ It didn't scare me at all. I convinced my sister to watch it at 4:20 so then the little boy in my closet could watch the middle part, which is usually the best parts in horrors(...).

I didn't get scared at all since I knew the little boy wouldn't do something like that to me.

I wasn't scared, but it did kinda creep me out in parts.
And at the end (if someone didn't already say it) she goes downstairs and there's all the screaming, her boyfriend ran downstairs, then you hear him screaming. Then all the screaming stops and it gets totally silent. Then you hear footsteps coming up the stairs and out of nowhere the guy's dead body gets hurled through the air at the camera. Then the girl comes in and hovers over his body and you know the rest razz

Thanks a lot for giving away the ending. Not all of us have seen it yet.

The ending ruined it for me. It was the only part that was blatantly CGIed. There were two other endings that would have been perfect, but noooo Stephen Spielberg had to pick the lamest one.

All in all it was a good movie. Rather like the Blair Witch Project except in the BWP the ending was amazing and the rest of it sucked...PA was rather the opposite if you will.

I remember I jumped at one point and broke the dim lighting next to me. I tried to fix it and was making a lot of noise in the process. Needless to say glaring ensued.

I saw it on the computer so I saw it with one of the good endings. Personally I felt like the person who made it did their research. It didn't fit for a demon really, but it did fit for something I call an "eater". For reasons that should be obvious if you saw the movie, and yeah it feeds on fear. With the good endings it makes perfect sense for an eater. Hooray. It even had the right footprints and everything. Of course there is a possibility that it was a fit for an eater entirely out of coincidence since there are so many different stuff out there that no matter what happened there would probably be a being that fit the role. but I like to be optimistic. ^-^;;;

Burning ouija board incidents have been recorded so that's not entirely off, but yeah I agree it was a bit far fetched in some ways. The thing that I found most unbelievable was the photo in the attic. It all kinda fit though, but was somewhat over the top in having so much diversity of things happening.

yeah i didnt much go for the photo in the attic thing. it seemed more of a human thing to do than something from the spirit world. i flet they were humanizing the creature a bit at that part to frighten the audience a bit more

what happened during the other ending? ive only seen the one in the movie

I part I find startling is when she's drug from the bed; I have had many bedside incidences. I thought it strange that the Quiji board should have the star of Baphomet on it. Personally, my interaction with manifestations have proven to be harmless and at times insightful. Said manifestations have had minimal ability to move other objects, so the movie definitely raises my curiosity.

- Alternate Ending -

One ending I saw was similar to the screaming, but instead, she came up the stairs with a bloody knife, sat on the floor by the bed and rocked back and forth repeatedly. Some police came and I can't remember if she killed herself or killed them... only saw it once. Sorry for the lack of details.

Well there is the one ending where she walks up to where the camera is and slits her throat or something. The one I saw she came upstairs and sat down next to the bed rocking back and forth. Then it did a time laspe thingy showing like someone call during the day and it getting late and stuff like that. Then you heard some plocie come in downstairs and start looking around. They came upstairs and looked in the room and then all of a sudden she snaps out of it. She gets up confused and starts asking what the heck is going on, the cops freak out and shoot her. The end. I liked it

To be honest, the film was a little boring for me, being used to movies with lots of excitement and chills, but it was a kind of interesting story. I did nearly hit the roof every time there was a loud bang but mostly because everything is so quiet throughout the rest of the film. One thing that seems creepy to me but actually made me laugh was when she got dragged out of bed.

wahmbulance SPOILERS! wahmbulance
@Aegis_Gainsborough: That ending is the one I saw. She killed the guy Micah and came upstairs with the knife then sat by the bed for hours. You can hear the phone ring at least once and she ignores it, then her friend comes over and you can hear her reaction downstairs when she finds the body, then the police come at night and she snaps out of the trance. She stands up and walks towards them but doesn't drop the knife so they shoot her. That seems to me like the only part that's generally creepy.
