I was on the bus yesterday, running late because the bus was late, and thought about how unreliable public transit can be.

I know around where I live public transit uses being a reliable source of transportation as their motto but more often than not the buses are running late or our trains re-routed or the bus just doesn't come. How many people have had to walk home because their buses have been unreliable?
