Normally when one’s spouse disappeared and left you only a horribly confusing note which could be summarised in ‘Trouble, need to go – don’t know when I’ll be back’ you would start to panic. Saying this then Kaida did the exact opposite when she found said note on their bed. Instead she merely shrugged and decided to see if Mamawa would let her stay over for a few day, mess around in the lab, so she wouldn’t feel lonely whilst Cassara was away. Rose had been perfectly happy to have her daughter over for a few days and let her mess around – with supervision of course. By the fourth day away and no call from Cassara asking why she wasn’t at home fretting over her she packed up what she had been working on and headed back home to the cafe. She had just settled back into their room and was going to curl up on their bed for a nap when she thought she heard someone coming towards the room.

Deciding it would be best to go meet whoever it was rather than wait for them Kaida got up. As she was walking down the hall towards the bathroom which was where the noises where coming from something niggled at her mind, something she was missing despite how obvious it should have been. Just as she was about to knock on the door she froze, releasing what was bugging her. She could smell Natalia’s blood but all her other senses clearly told her the person on the other side of the door wasn’t Natalia but her mate, Cassara. Flinging the bathroom door open she blurted out, “Why the hell do you have Natalia’s blood all over you?,” before doing a double take at the state Cassara was in.

Frowning Kaida felt worry start to bubble up in her and she had dozens of questions but her could clearly see that Cassara did not want to talk about so instead of pestering her for details and possibly starting a fight she ushered Cassara aside so she could get to the bath to start running one.

“Well then, after all that I’m sure your exhausted and but first you need to get you cleaned up and your wounds treated.” She said as she turned around to rummage around for things that would be needed for the bath. Cassara was lucky that she had already eaten before she had come home or this would have been much more troublesome.

“Its fine Cas, I ate before you got home – it’s just a pleasant smell at the moment. Thank you for worrying though.” She said with a small as she pulled out the rest of what she would need. She was just turning around again with a bottle of Lavender oil in her hand when she saw Cassara trip. Swooping over she quickly searched Cassara’s face to make sure she was ok as she worriedly babbled, “Oh my gosh! Are you ok honey! You must be so tired, I’m sorry I should have gotten you to sit down!”

Kaida frowned in concern when she heard about Cassara’s lack of sleep. The look was completely erased as she was pulled into tub getting the bloody water all over her clothes. Grimacing she pulled the plug on the water to let the worst of it run out before putting it back, perhaps she should have hosed Cassara down before bathing her.

“Thanks Cas, leather is nigh on impossible to clean and a hassle to get out of when wet.” She said faking being grumpy. Truefully she though she was just as happy to have Cas in her arms, despite what her attitude might say she had been concerned when she had just up and disappeared.

The look on Kaida’s face when her clothes where torn off was completely unamused. She knew exactly what her wife was thinking and was half tempted to start banging her head on the wall. Couldn’t she keep her mind of sex for 5 minutes, she had wounds that needed attending too and then food and a nap, THEN they could think about – if she was healed enough to not reopen any of the wounds. Giving her wife the evil eye she turned off the taps as the bath finished filling and opened the bottle that she still had in her hand and let some drops fall into the mix causing the smell of lavender to start filling the bathroom.

Smiling fondly at Cassara as she watched her drift to sleep Kaida gave a small sigh. Giving her a tight squeeze she reached for the antibacterial soap. She would finish bathing Cassara, dress her wounds then tuck her into bed before curling up with her; she had been going for a nap as well. Giving a decisive nod she got to work with that, all the while trying not to move Cassara too much. There would be plenty of time later for ‘other thing’.
