I am trying to find out if there are any other tips people might know of.
These are the ones I know of already and use:
1. minimize the background page while playing booty grab.
2. minimize the pixel quality to low
3. turn the aquariums music off.
I know some say to make the tank small,but that doesn't seem to work for me.
So any other tips for a great grab out there (besides aviod bad power downs)?

I can seem to get mine to do any of those. well, I can turn the music off, but that is all I am able to do. neutral

I can't help you with your questions, I don't know how. I just turn off the sound on my pc... to not hear the aquarium music.
--- but one tip I have tried and it works... If you tap the tank right before the booty grab countdown... the fish will gather and pretty much stay together, making the gold fall in nearly one place. especially dolphin tanks.

I do all of that too. xD I maximize the screen though so you can see the fish big, but the background is blurry. O:

When playing an "new" dolphin tank, click on the tank before the black game screen begins, this will cluster the dolphins and allow you to catch more booty from them. This technique has increased my booty from an all dolphin tank to over 2000 a tank.
