[Kai: Castle Oblivion Corridor]
" I guess not- " she replied her fingers brushing the surface of her pen almost affectionately.
" Well then- I shan't keep you in suspense. I'm eager to hear your opinion on my latest works." Not even before the final word dropped from her lips, the artist jabbed her pen tip into the canvas like driving in a dagger. The page bled ink that exploded into tainted blotted pages. They scattered like angry birds which in turn phased into smoke- pitch like the ink itself. They filled the corridor just as effectively as turning the lights out.
Only Sayrike could still see. the place was like a monochrome negative- and from the walls erupted large thick cords of barbed wire which quickly formed a cage like defense around Kai, which tangled so tightly she was obscured from view.
From those pages that remained after the other expired- a flock of angry volatile Birn Strikes made the first sweep towards Sayrike with merciless speed.

[Sayrike::Castle Oblivion Corridor]
Three mirrors flashed into existence as soon as Kai stabbed her pen into her book, a defensive reflex. The pages of Kai's book burst outwards, turning into smoke and briefly obscuring Sayrike's view. Even though she couldn't see for those couple of seconds before the smoke settled, she could still attack. From her mirrors came Mathy's 1000 Needles, aimed where she believed Kai was still standing a second before. She didn't know if it hit or not; hopefully Kai would be too busy concentrating on...whatever this was.
As soon as the smoke cleared, the masked girl saw the entire corridor painted in monochrome, though Kai was still in front of her. All too quickly, Kai was enveloped in barbed wire and Birn Strikes were headed toward Sayrike. Knowing Kyla, Sayrike was expecting the Birn Strike. "Kai!" the blue mage yelled. The mirrors spun rapidly around her, absorbing the oncoming strikes. When the attack ran out, Sayrike placed her mirrors between her and Kai's shielded figure and released the absorbed Birn Strikes back at the original attacker. Could she break through the barbed wire? "Why do you hide yourself? Do you not have the confidence to face me? Do you need the comfort of a wall to place between us?" When the strikes emptied themselves from her mirrors, she immediately punched the back of her main mirror, causing Asura's sword to shoot out the front and head for Kai's wrapped figure.
