If I'm correct, we aren't doing a parade this year. We only do one I think it s every other year. So we either do rodeo parade or a trip. This year is a trip year, also every other year, so no parade. Which I am happy about. The parade we do just happens to be one without electronic floats. Everything is run by horses. Lots and lots of horse poo. and unfortunately for us, we aren't allowed to step over it(though about half the band does anyway.)
Funny thing last year. I was in the center of the block, and not quite center but almost. Well,it just happens that all the horse poo was either dead center with the line to my left or to the sides, like in the spot of the line to my right. So, people next to me had to avoid the poo. I had to deal with one clump and a few tiny bits, all of which were at the perfect spot so I was able to march right over them without getting out of line or it being obvious.

My director refuses to do a parade if we ever go back to Disney. It was fun while we were there, and it seemed like a good idea on paper, but early morning practices on the off-season were not convenient nor useful, nor enjoyable for ANYONE. We're never doing one unless it's during marching band, which is our Halloween parade through our neighboring city.
