If there was one thing that Taren could claim to hate more than anything it was being alone. He automaticaly started chewing nervously on the ear of the teddybear he had been inspecting. They had come back to the shop to return one of Tarens Christmas presents. A lego construction kit that had several peices missing. While she had gone to wait in the que of similarly irriate customers at the returns desk after the busy season she had encouraged Taren to go off and play with all the toys on show.
Now he was regretting it. He had never seen such a big toy shopp before, with multiple floors and a whole maze of passages created by the ever increasing shelves baring everything from 'Baby's first book' to a dinasour that camme up to Tarens Waist which made him jump and let a whimper of alarm when he walked past it and it choose that moment to gurgle its manufactored rawr, more terrfying for the mutated quality of the sound signaling it had run iut of battries.
Quickly Taren rushed to the next Aisle panting slightly in between chewing harder on the bears ear which he had still not reliquished, its new and shiny fur now marred by the wet slightly floppy ear.
Taren felt it was well and truly tme to find his way back to his guardian, only...which way was it? He had no idea. He moves to the en of the shelf row and looked this way and that, blinking as he felt the first swell of true panic, which way was it?
