Moonie “Cloud” Shock Trooper Armour
Designated Name: M1 MAFLRS (Mark 1 Medium Armoured Front Line Recon Suit)
Description:
Developed by the Moonie Research and Design Team under the supervision of once-senior opertaive Dart Adderman. The M1 MAFLRS was designed when the team looked in to a more militant use of spies to disrupt enemy activity and supply lines. The suit is composed of a breastplate, gauntlets (fingers are not covered), open-face helmet, gas mask, backpack, belt, boots (non-armoured) and a bodysuit (covers up to the neck excluding the tail). The material for the armour is lightweight but relatively rigid and provides a medium level of protection from both energy and ballistic weapons.
After Adderman was stripped of rank the team was disbanded after only a few suits had been made. They never saw field use and were later removed from headquarters by operatives personally loyal to Adderman; the suits' last location was the Moonie group assigned to infiltrate Saratar Station.

Appearance:
The M1 MAFLRS's armoured plates are painted in a camouflage pattern depending on the area of deployment. The bodysuit is reversible and is dark grey on one side and light grey on the other.

Features:
Breastplate & Backpack:
The breastplate is a carapace like layered armour that is flexible and covers all of the torso. The backpack is connected to the breastplate, but holds no supplies. It is small and one of the most important pieces of equipment for the M.S.S. The pack is a gas dispersion unit which can emit a highly effective knockout gas in 10 second intervals. The gas deploys in a 10 foot radius around the soldier and rises slowly. It will disperse and become ineffective after 3 minutes. The gas will render unprotected humans and altresians unconscious in 40 seconds and drathonians in 60. The gas is only effective as long as it is present, meaning after 3 minutes the targets will quickly wake up if more gas is not introduced; the target will experience sluggishness of movement and thought for another 4 minutes after waking. The gas after the full 10 seconds of discharge will limit visibility to an area of 5 feet around the person engulfed by it. Each pack holds 50 seconds of release or 5 charges.
Helmet & Gasmask:
The open-face helmet meets closely with the gasmask and provides protection for the shock trooper. The gasmask is necessary due to the use of the gas-backpacks in combat.
Gauntlets:
The left gauntlet houses the command panel for the gas release system. Gauntlets leave fingers uncovered as to not decrease dexterity.
Bodysuit:
Insulated and padded bodysuit, flame resistant and protects against the cold. The areas covered by armour are more heavily padded than the uncovered parts of the suit.
Belt:
Holds ammo and grenades.
Boots:
All terrain boots, unarmoured. Can be equipped with climbing gear.

This is an awesome piece of Tech.

It doesn't hurt that the Moonies were an afterthought whom have recently become the favorite Sci-Fi race I created.
