I'm the equipment manger of my school marching band I keep track of the uniforms, flags,props, make sure that the band has water at games and competitions, shine shoes, get the band stand thing out, be people uniform hookers, make sure the guard has all there headpins and glitter,etc etc... (some of those things I add that I didn't have to do). I go to ever practice,football game and competition and pep rally with the band.
Does your band have any person that like this in the band that is equipment manger and that all they do all that kind of stuff too?

We have several different committees to cover all those things.
Uniform managers give out uniforms, alter them to fit, and have them cleaned.
The Field Set Up Committee sets up the ladders and yard line markers before rehearsals.
Adm-Prop (short for Assistant to the Drum Major - Prop) makes props and costumes for our shows.
Field assistants get us water at games. They're the only ones not actually in band, they're recent alumni. :p

We have the band parentsXD
Our boosters and other volunteer band parents do stuff like load the equipment truck, carry props onto the field, make sure everything is in the correct space,e tc. They also take care of the stuff in the stands, like drum stands, seat covers(because our uniforms are so new, our bd puts down some seat covers so we don't get our black bums dirtyXD), water and water refills. They also take care of uniforms and uniform issues, so they fit us into them and fx them up for us if they don't have our size(mine is two sizes too big, because I use the bigger sizes which we only had a few of, and all were in use.)

wow.
I take care of a lot of that stuff besides fixing uniforms. band parents help with loading and unloading but for the most part i do everything that needs to be done.
I think it funny that there are so girls that want my job next year if i dont do it again this season.They dont know half the stuff I do and how much time it consumes.
Like always having like go back to the band room which is pretty far from the field to get stuff for half time like five min before it and having to run there then get there and the door is lock then having to run all the way back to get the key then high tailing it back to the band room then find what we need then then get back to the field with 2 sec left before we go on.
That one of the reasons I have to run and stretch with them at practice.
