as told by Mourning Fog ((OOC: Just a short, generic love story he tells. based on the song "Falling in love at a coffee shop" by Landon Pigg i believe))

There once was a large pond, its waters bolstered by two streams that flowed into it. It was a deeper turquoise in color, and free from any hungry crocodile. Kimeti and creature alike came to this pond to drink from its clear waters. They came and went, finding friends, rivals, meeting loved ones or making new ones. It was a peaceful place filled with the harmonies of songbirds, the playful games of the foxbuns, the laughter of kimeti.

It was the favorite drinking pond of a buck named Lynx's Grace. He came there every day for even just a sip of its sweet water. Strangely enough, he knew that it wasn't the water that kept him coming back, but for the longest time he couldn't figure out why he returned day after day. To him, all water was the same. Yes this pond had clean, better tasting water. And it was safe to boot! But there had to be some other reason. He would drink from a muddy creek if he had to..why did he walk long distances, the same time daily, to drink here? It was a strange thing for him to do. Normally he would only do what was easiest.

The buck bent down for a sip. In the reflection he saw not only his own face, but beside him was a doe he had seen here before. His heart skipped a beat at the sight of her pale lavender coat. Her name matched her beauty, Lavender Petals. She was delicate and kind, and he remembered the first day he stumbled onto this pond. He felt out of place, all the kimeti seeming to be friends among themselves. He felt alone. But she approached him, introduced herself, and since then..yes..that's why he kept returning. He came back every day, looking to and fro..

for her..

for even just a glimpse of her...

he was right that it wasn't the water that had him hooked to this spot. But the doe that lived nearby and came everyday at the same time to drink from it. Feeling foolish, he bent his head again, as if to hide. But she already saw him and said hello. She had such a pleasant smile. It left him speechless. But he eventually found the courage to speak. They talked for hours, before she said she had to return home. He left that day feeling complete.

They talked together each day at that pond. They fell in love at that pond. And when they were blessed with children of their own, they told them when they came of age. Go to that pond, find the one meant for you. That's where we met each other, and that's where you'll find the kimeti you've waited for your entire lives.
