"What? I didn't have anything to do with that one!!" Mr. Nick said, his hands up in defense. "You'd think after all these years they'd find another scapegoat." he said as he took a look intently.
"Something DOES seem off. I can sense magic power on the one with the kid, but it's not anything similar to the one who I guess YOU sent." he looked back up at Hades. "Maybe things aren't the way they seem." he mentioned.

Hades sighed and placed a hand under his chin to think as he watched on. "Not at all. It looks as thought that girl is the only one smart enough not to be distracted by the Black Lanterns. Any longer and the man could have had his heart ripped out. Literally." he mused, then looked towards the future CJ. "The other one... seems completely distracted by the child. I'm not sure the creature would have the strength to put a hole through his chest, but the onslaught of Lanterns the woman in red is fighting off just might."

Mr. Nick nodded. "Greeeeeaaaat. This is why people need to switch off their hearts before going on something nuts like this." he said, rolling his eyes as he looked at them, shaking his head.
"Well, at least the one's getting THAT C.J. away from the chaos, but . . . wait, is that one being LEAD by the girl? It's almost as if she WON'T kill him. Yet. Let that one play out. Kinda curious as to what that does." he said, referring to Blackjack and Amanda.

"A trap. Naturally." came a voice from the throne. Hades sighed gently and kept his eyes on the column. He didn't need to turn around to see who it was. The voice was a familiar one. Like nails on a chalkboard sort of familiar.
A black cat sat perched on the throne. His tail swifting back and forth contently, his golden eyes gazing down towards the two men, and a large, white smile seemed to glow from his face. His teeth were sharp and very white. A sharp contrast to his black fur.
"Not that the child really realizes it's a trap. But he'll realize it soon enough. And oh, what FUN that's going to be." he purred.
Then he paused a moment and glanced off to the side. Towards the "screen". "Duplicating powers. Nine of them. A good plot device needs to be in multiple places at once after all."

Well, let's see: C.J. present, Blackjack from PoV, the C.J. who stuck around, the Reboot C.J., Legion of Superheroes C.J., one with funny hair . . .

Mr. Nick facepalmed hard. "Greeeeeeaaaat. A trap. LOVELY." he growled as he took a drag on his cigarette.

The cat grinned as he watched the column. "Well, luckily it seems as though the guy with the chip on his shoulder just bypassed the trap completely." CC purred. "Rather unfortunate for the children, but he won't have any distractions now other than his little ex-Lantern. Well, that's a lie. He MIGHT have a tough time getting the kids again now. Like, really tough. That is if his ex-Lantern doesn't tear him apart first."
Then he yawned and stretched his back out. "So... I guess you just have to worry about the fight inside the castle? Unless you wanna try to go rescue the kids. My writer has this rather nasty habit of laying on the plot twists pretty thick."

"Writer?! That kinda sounds like that knucklehead." Mr. Nick said with a shrug as he looked over at Hades. "If I recall correctly, they should still be under your agreement. Should we collect them and then help in the fray? Looks like with the magic coming off the stranger, he oughta be fine." he mentioned as he looked on. He had to do SOMETHING. Otherwise, that bet would slip right through his hands.

Hades was quiet for a long few moments, staring contemplatively at the scene before him. The cat broke the silence. "Well... you could step in. Or you could wait and see if there is anything extra crazy about to happen. There might. There might not. Who knows. I sort of do, but I'm just a plot device. I don't do spoiler alerts. Much. Often. Okay, maybe once or twice if I'm in the mood."
"Alright. Then tell me about the children and my dead mortal. There's something... odd about them. Mostly because they're THERE and not somehow HERE. Future or not, they should still be my souls." Hades mused.
"Heh. Yeah, they didn't quite make it all the way dead. Someone else sort of stopped them half way. And then it's easy for someone else to snatch them up while they're in a form of purgatory."

"Great . . . this is why I keep tabs on 'em while they're near DEATH, amateur!" Mr. Nick growled towards Hades as he kept tabs . . . and raised a brow when the car crashed into the castle and SEVEN MORE C.J.s piled out and started wreaking havoc.
"So, would the mysterious voice also like to explain why in the hell he just multiplied like a jackrabbit?" he asked, pointing towards C.J.

Hades gave Nick a bit of an annoyed look. "That woman is currently sitting in a resteraunt eating dinner. How she's dead and in there can only mean she's from a different reality or time all together. Not my problem. And the children that are walking with that demoness on the other side of the castle are currently infants and lying upstairs with the Fates. Again, not my problem. " he said, then looked back at the column. "A different reality would also explain all of the little men running around out there."
